Should i install used power steering pump n rack in LS400.

Is installing a second hand power steering pump and a OEM rack a good idea.

I have a 1994 LS 400 Lexus.

Yes there is no problem in installing a used part but you will need to bleed the rack first .

The procedure for that has to be:

Turn the steering wheel to the left and hold for 5 sec and then to the right and hold for 5 seconds, repeat this a few times check fluid and repeat.

2nd hand power pump alright as long as you get for 3 days guarantee but the steering assy you can get it repaired with 4 to 6 months guarantee as the used steering assy was sitting in a lot for who know when and when you install it the in few months it starts leaking oil...thats why i dnt recommend it to my customers...
