why am i getting check engine light?

i am getting engine oil message but the oil level is ok then why?

Get the computer test as it may be possible that oil cooler is bad or oil signal sending unit (sensor) is bad and thats why its throwing this light.

Change the oil sensor as its cheaper fix anyways. if its dying oil cooler then its a biggy as one need to swim thru the engine to change it.

You might want to have that checked by a shop. As Albert has said, it could be a problem with the oil cooler or the sensor. I know there are some shops that offer free estimates. You might want to have them check it first.
