navedk
I think you have a bad servo motor brother. You can look it up online. A video tutorial would be better cuz it can get very technical for people who don't know anything about it. GL
hussain1
Hi rawat and naved ... I agree with that. With a little effort you can change it yourself. You can download a DIY manual online ... I am sure there are plenty available. I'll poke around and see if i can get something for you.
alila
Guys ... The last time I had an issue like this I thoroughly drained & flushed my coolant system & also put in a new thermostat. The heat returned afterwards. Or it could be your heater core behind the dash.
bittoo
The Lexus heater core is a small radiator-like device which is located under the dash board and particularly mounted at the HVAC housing. This is activated via heater controls and a blower motor which controls the accurate amount of heat. The Lexus heater core should be regularly inspected together with the cooling system. Coolant changes must be done at recommended intervals to prevent failure. Signs that your heater core is starting to fail includes coolant leaking on the interior, an unusual smell whenever the heater is on, and poor heater output. If left unattended, heater core problems tend to get worse.
jacku
i might not be an expert on this but I think the problem is the blower resistor. The only thing that you can do is to replace the resistor. You will have to test it first though. Hope this helps you out.
mastersam
Sounds like the blend door is not working. Put your head under the passenger side dash and move the heater control. See if you can see the servo motor moving. Hope you know what I am talking about. or just repeat these lines at the dealership.
erics
The servo is an electric motor. There are 2 of these for the heater control. One controls the heater control valve under the hood which allows hot antifreeze to flow through the heater core. The other moves the blend door. The door allows the air to flow through either the heater core, or the a/c evaporator. If its not moving properly, it may be stuck and not allowing the air to flow through the heater core. Explained! alila
You can temporarily remove the air intake hose for ease of access ... and the thermostat as well.
