changing the timing belt

Recommended Posts

For changing timing belt you need to open half engine, and its not at all easy job. Dont DIY if you have never done it or seeing someone doing it.

Its very serious job, as slight mistake in timing leave your car from not starting. Get it with any educated and experience mechanic.

Davids right. The difficulty scale is 8/10 as discussed in other forums, athought it is doable for a pro. AL FUTTAIM quoted 4000aed after discount

so, I got my timing belt replaced yesterday at AL REYAMI Workshop (search for "Al Reyami Car Workshop" in google maps) in QUOZ for 600bucks and got the parts delivered from USA through the website rockauto and chose GATES TIMING BELT KIT, which is the OEM supplier. Came upto 600AED including shipping. So, the entire cost came upto 1200AED, instead of paying 4000 at the dealership.

I know the tread is old but maybe its helpful to others
