car is missing

when experiencing missing in my car the mechanic informed me that one of the cylinders are faulty.

any idea if this really can me a cause for this

Check the sprak plug and spark coming in all plugs are good and strong or not before jumping to cylinders.

Then you can suspect the injector and then cylinder valves in end. In this case put injector cleaner in quarter tank and drive at 140 for 1 hr, it will be fine hopefully (75% chances).
