2010 Nissan Patrol review

Recommended Posts

The Patrol is a bit of a legend in the Middle East, so the arrival of a brand new model for 2010 has caused a bit of a stir.

Alongside the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Patrol is a favourite 4×4 among Middle East residents for its blend of comfort on road with proper off-road capability.

Nissan has designed the seven-seat 2010 Patrol with the Middle East specifically in mind and most of the cars testing was carried out in the UAE, both on-road and off. The result is a large SUV that comes with a choice of two engines, with plenty of technology to make it more capable in the sand and more comfortable on the road.

The entry-level Patrol LE comes with a 4.8-litre V8 engine with 320bhp, attached to a five-speed automatic gearbox, while the flagship SE has the same engine tuned to 400bhp, attached to as seven-speed gearbox.

There are plenty of options packages available from dealers, so it’s best to check with them to see exactly what’s on sale when you want to buy. But as a rough guide to some of the technology available, highlights include a new Hydraulic Motion Body Control system that keeps the car level around corners and stable off road, as well as a All Mode 4×4, which enables the driver to change the vehicle settings depending on the surface being driven on. Cameras on the outside of the car provide a 360-degree view of the surroundings, while Intelligent Cruise Control is also available.

Luxuries include full leather upholstery, satellite navigation, a fridge and Bluetooth phone connectivity.

The previous model Patrol is also still on sale in lower specifications.

Its a one beast of a car.

Before this model it was already very successful with UAE local boys for sand bashing and now its become bigger and more powerful to have endless fun in sand.

Though i really doubt with that price tag car anyone going offroading yet....?
