Refilling coolant

Hi guys,

I was wondering of refilling my coolant after clearing it out ... i remember once a friend tried doing that by himself and he couldn't get the air out of the lines properly and eventually his heater etc stopped working ... he had to take it in and spend extra money for no good reason... is there an easy way to take out the air from the lines when doing this practice or should I just let the experts take care of it?

Problem is I just have a tight schedule all the time and I am just not getting any decent spare time to take my car in ...

Good mechanics follow this procedure:

1. Drain all the coolant out

2. Fill it up with distilled water and let it run with the heater on

3. Shut the car down

4. Fill the radiator with the funnel in it

5. Fill the reservoir again and turn the car on and the heater on

6. funnel will drain and thts about it

Just empty whole coolant, refill new one and let car start and keep on filling until all air bubble settle down. You need to shut and start car few times until all air bubble excape from radiator and once coolant stand still, then you can turn the radiator cap and double check that again next day morning.
