transmission issue

My service engine light is on which was meant for due so took it was put on the machine and came back with the code po741 which was said to be a transmission problem .so i decided to take it to the transmission shop which was in sharjah and was told that my transmission needed to be rebuilt. Can you help me with that problem because it passed inspection for this year but i dnt want to delay the issue.

This code PO741 stands for the Torque Convertor Control valve which handles your "5th gear". It can be fixed, but it involves a knowledgeable dealer/garage and time. if there are no other faults, same transmission probably does not have to be rebuilt.
