owlen Posted October 26, 2011 Report Share Posted October 26, 2011 Prefer not to switch from super to special and vice versa often. Super is 98 octane and Special fuel is 95 octane. Most cars ever built will need 91 -95 octane, so usually special is more than enough. But for better fuel economy and for slightly better performance (engine pickup response) super fuel is advisable.
