Bad smell

Hello,

I am not at all a car-savvy person but I have a Passat CC and I am having a small problem that i can't seem to figure out. A terrible smell comes out from the air conditioner as soon as i turn it on. It lasts for the first few minutes and then it goes away. These days i usually turn my car on for a while and leave it for a while so that the smell can get out. Very inconvenient especially when I am getting late for work! i think the air filter needs to be changed so can someone please tell me where is it located?

Although I personally don't know how to do that, but why don't you get the car serviced or take it to the dealership? They will be able to look into it ... anyways since you didn't mention anything about a dealership ... here is a video of how you can access your air filter in y our car. Hope it helps you.
