Type Of Floor Jack For Lifted Cars?
Hey everyone, I am looking forward towards purchasing a floor jack for my vehicle as a bottle jack is really not recommended in sand. I read some previous threads and concluded that a Low-Profile Jack from JZX or YATO is the best option, as they are reliable and can easily be tucked under a vehicle without any digging required. Put off by the size and weight of a 2T floor jack, I researched alternatives. Settled on a hybrid bottle jack design, supplied by Powerbuilt.
Have tried it out a few times in the desert and am very pleased with it. It's very stable and easy to operate, with good height range. For non lifted cars it is a little tall, but one or two shovels of sand in the area you want to place the board quickly gives enough clearance.
