  2. Check all fuses and relays FIRST. See if engine oil need change or top up. do it. If still problem there, get ur ECU diagnose with proper tools.
  3. Jeep is worst in reliability when comes to electrical parts. And even worst of all is commander and thats why its going to get discontinue soon by next year. Show to delaer you will save some money in straight diagnostic as electrical issues blow quiet lot of money in experimenting and no one will guarntee if its going to work or not.
  4. my 2006 jeep liberty with 68,000 km recently but am having some problems. the speedometer does not work sometimes, nor does the radio. just the other day the oil light came on and the car stalled while i was driving. i checked the oil and it was up till the mark guess the problem is either a computer problem or a fuse needs replacement. can anyone help me figure out what the problem is
  5. i was experiencing some electrical issues with the Jeep Commander and so i repaired and replaced every electrical issue but it still has the random and very inconvenient electrical issue where all the lights on the dashboard light up repeatedly. And for some reason, there is no clear reasoning or understanding for this as the car is running smoothly Also earlier this week my ABS system caused my rear brakes to lock up on me. Frustration is starting to set in when it comes to my vehicle, cause I truly bought it for its size and durability which had stood up to my expectations until know. i want to knw if others are having this same problem electrical problems. thanx
  6. HVAC drain is plugged and blocked thats why condensed water is making its way to passenger side. See AC technician and he can fix this in less than 30 mins and 50 aed.
  7. hi there is a Water leaks onto passenger side floor dnt knw where it is coming from. any suggestions

  10. There are plenty of them available as per your pocket size. Rough country Old Man Emanuel (OMU) Dobbinson Tough dog Aragosta Bilstein bla bla bla. Check with Ramy trading in deira or AEV in Intl city or Tazweed or Moca in shj for plenty of options.
  11. hey guys, now that the winters have started i have just bought a jeep liberty for offroading and was wondering where can i get a good quality lift kit. thanx
  12. Check lower and upper ball joints, steering stabilizer, axle boot and im sure some or all are due for change. Its nothing to with tyres (i hope).
  13. The Wrangler is the iconic Jeep known, loved and trusted the world over. Though it’s extremely far removed from the WWII-era original Willys Jeep, it’s still one of the most capable off-road machines around. It unashamedly sticks to its roots of being a hardcore 4×4 for tackling deserts, wadis, mountains and anything you might put in its way. Although it’s designed to perform well off road, this latest version is much better on road than its predecessors. There are two body styles on offer, the two-door Wrangler and the four-door Wrangler Unlimited. Both are essentially the same machine, though the four-door model has an extended wheelbase which gives it much more interior space. If you don’t desperately need the extra space on offer by the larger Unlimited, we’d go for the smaller and lighter two-door version. There are still seats in the back, though it might not be as comfortable back there as it would be in the Unlimited. As an off-road model, the Wrangler doesn’t really do too much in the way of creature comforts – but that’s the whole idea. A Wrangler should spend its weekends up to its axles in soft sand only for it to be hosed out on a Saturday evening ready for the working week. Power is provided by a 200bhp 3.8-litre V6, which has plenty of low-down torque to ensure the Wrangler can pull itself out of the trickiest of situations. True off-road enthusiasts will specify the six-speed manual gearbox which is available via special order, though most weekend warriors will be happy enough with the standard four-speed automatic. If you’re serious about your off-roading, then the Wrangler should definitely be on your shortlist. SOURCE: http://automiddleeast.com/2010-jeep-wrangler/
  14. Though the 2010 Patriot might wear the coveted Jeep badge, have the trademark seven-slot Jeep grille plus a pair of round Jeep headlights, it’s not really a Jeep. No, underneath all the Jeep dressing up is a barely modified Dodge Caliber hatchback. Although the Patriot does have four-wheel drive, it’s really not up to the standard of any serious off-road work. In America you can specify an off-road package, which improves the Patriot’s rough stuff credentials, but sadly it’s not offered in the region. Therefore, unless you really want a family hatchback that has the looks of a Jeep – but none of the abilities – then we suggest looking elsewhere in the range. However, if all you want is something that looks a bit tough, has a high-set driving position and the abilities to scramble across a patch of waste ground to secure an elusive parking spot, then keep on reading. The Patriot’s 2.4-litre four-cylinder is eager enough, but is ultimately hampered by the CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox which unless you are extremely gentle with your throttle inputs is all too eager to hold onto a ratio all the way to the redline. On the plus sides, the Patriot features a wipe-down interior and a powerful speaker system which flips down from the bootlid that’s perfect for any beach or desert barbecue sessions. It’s actually a lot smaller than it might first appear with limited space on board for five and one of the smaller boots in the sector. Since coming under the ownership of Fiat, Jeep has decided that the Patriot won’t be upgraded and will be quietly withdrawn from the market before a new Fiat-based replacement arrives by 2012. 15. Though the Grand Cherokee’s name might suggest there is some commonality between this model and the smaller Cherokee, there isn’t. In fact, the Grand Cherokee shares more with the bigger Commander than it does with the compact SUV. The 2010 model year is the last for this generation of car with a new 2011 model – developed from the same platform that underpins the Mercedes M-Class – due to go on sale before the end of the year. However, the 2009 bankruptcy proceedings and subsequent takeover by Fiat has left the wider Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge product plans up in the air. If you’re a Jeep fan, but you’re not into your Wranglers, then it’s likely that you’re fond of the Grand Cherokee. It has stood for being an honest, fairly large, but reasonably competent 4×4 both on and off the beaten track. And the third generation model follows much the same premise. Well, all except the monstrously powered SRT-8 version with its 425bhp 6.1-litre V8, which isn’t much cop off road and is too busy tearing up the tarmac to give any consideration to its abilities to drive on it. The less extreme and more down to earth versions – otherwise known as the Laredo, Limited and Overland – are available with a choice of 3.7-litre V6 or 4.7- and 5.7-litre V8s. All come with a five-speed automatic gearbox and active four-wheel drive systems with the ability to select different drive modes to suit the off-road conditions. The seats are large and comfortable and there’s decent head and legroom for all passengers. Those not looking to use their Grand Cherokee off-road should look at the Overland version, which is fitted with chrome alloy wheels, rear-seat DVD entertainment package and more luxurious interior trim. 16. As it stands, 2010 will be the last year that the Commander is going to be offered for sale as Jeep’s new owners Fiat have no immediate plans to replace it. Therefore, if you’re after a big Jeep that can really tackle the tough stuff now is your last chance. Think of the Commander as a Grand Cherokee that had a few hard knocks in its later years – though bizarrely looks like a Cherokee that’s been blown up on a photocopier. It uses a stretched version of the Grand Cherokee’s platform, but does away with the pandering to on-road driving enjoyment instead focussing more on off-road abilities. Different four-wheel drive systems are offered depending on which trim level you go for. Serious off-roaders should go for the Commander Limited as it features Jeep’s Quadra-Drive II system which features electronic limited slip differentials to ensure power only goes to the wheels with the most grip – thereby ensuring good process in tricky conditions. The Limited version features the 4.7-litre V8 engine, which has a decent 453Nm slug of torque available from a low 3950rpm to ensure the best of abilities off road. The more road-orientated Overland model features lots of chrome and leather and the more potent 5.7-litre V8. If highways are your terrain, then the Overland should be your Commander of choice. Although there are a pair of additional seats in the back, they aren’t the most comfortable even for children to sit in for long periods, therefore you’d be better off putting the large load bay to load – rather than people – carrying duties. 17. The Cherokee nameplate has only been around since 2002, although the current model was launched into the region in 2008. It’s designed to offer a Jeep vehicle to a much wider audience who may have put off by the size of the Grand Cherokee or the hardcore off-road nature of the Wrangler. Though it’s designed to perform well on tarmac, the Cherokee is still pretty capable on more taxing terrain – certainly more so than the smaller Jeep Patriot. It’s destined to be an alternative to the likes of the Land Rover LR2 – both are five-seat compact SUVs from brands more synonymous with extreme off-road vehicles. There’s reasonable space on board for all occupants and a reasonable – if not overtly generous – boot. The Cherokee is offered with one engine choice – a 3.7-litre V6 with 202bhp that’s mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox. The four-wheel drive system features Selec-Trac II, which allows for power to be sent to the wheels in a variety of ways. In normal on-road driving, power is sent to the rear wheels, but should you want to go off-road, all that’s required is a quick flick of a switch and power is spread between all four wheels. If things get really taxing, you can engage 4WD Low to make best use of the torque on offer. Two trim levels are offered – Sport and Limited. The former receives body coloured bumpers and more hardwearing interior fabrics whereas the Limited version is fitted with chrome highlights on the exterior and leather seats on the interior.
