  1. May be or more than likely your gauge/sensor is gone bad.

    Check the heating temp by hand of hose from radiator to engine when its at normal running temp (also press that hose little bit to see how hard and soft it is), then when it shows overheat check same hose again by hand and press also little bit to see if that becomes more hard and hotter than before then its actually overheating. If not then temp gauge or water temp sending sensor is gone bad. Change the sensor first its cheap, and then gauge.
