CTS stopped working after the engine reached its normal temp.

there maybe a safety feature that gets on or the car is getting overheated i see no other reason for this to happen.

when there is lack of transmission oil the gear may fail one by one and can eventually damage the gear box to a great extend that can not be fixed.

For cat conv you can source from shj used spare part market in industrial area. Or if you want new get the parts from shops in BM road in shj, they sell parts at 50% discounted rates.

After changing the key FOB battery have u sync the remote?

While car is locked, insert the key on driver door side and turn to open. While it open press the open button on remote. Do same for lock.

Very slight increase of 5% - 10% rise when stuck in traffic at noon is normal. More than that get alarmed.

Just to be on safe side get the radiator cleaning and check the AC fan is working on both speed?

I've never heard of a key being stuck in the ignition due to a dead battery. I thought the key insertion/removal was a purely mechanical process. Is your car Tiptronic, and if so, are you sure it's in Park? Is your steering wheel straight? Is the steering wheel stuck against the right or left side, locking it against the ignition lock? Try turning the steering wheel slightly to the left, with one hand while pulling on the key with your other hand. If that doesn't work, try the opposite.

i have a 2009 cadi bought band new.

now that the winters are here i dnt put on the AC as much as i did in summer now most of the time it is on either 1 or 2

but today in the afternoon it was a bit too hot so i put it on 4 and there was a horrible smell of something burning.

can anybody tell me what could this me coz it was there through out but the cooling was fine till i reached the destination
