Hi mate, since you are not exactly sure on the 'kind' of smell you need to establish the source first. Take a look at the exhaust manifold gasket since you think the smell might be related to that. The gasket might require a replacement. You can also check the space between the the exhaust pipe and the manifold. There might be a leak there. That leak might cause a smell. Hope you are following.

Oh and once a smoke smell was caused by the valve stern seals located on the exhaust system in my car, they were not functioning properly.

Nopes ... i don't think it has anything to do with the car being cold, although the explanation seems logical ... it's definitely something to do with your accelerator or it could also be a problem with your engine tuning. It's not a major problem so have it checked and hopefully things will fall into place.

i think it highly depends on how much the vehicle has been used as compared to the the time period. Manuals recommend rotating the tires when the vehicle hits 5000 to 7000 miles if not stated otherwise. Obviously maintaining them regularly is also important so waxing and braking cautiously helps overall. Moreover, i think the front tires should be rotated reguarly as compared to the back ones on front wheel drive vehicles.

i am thinking of buying the 2013 JX but when i researched about it there seem to be more cons than the pros... i agree that it is a luxury vehicle but with a V6 engine and 265 HP critics are saying there are better options out there and that this vehicle slightly lacks performance ... making it a little slower than other SUVs out there. Need some insight on this ... has anyone test driven this vehicle ?

if you visit a good service center they will do leak test that will determine where the oil is leaking from.

i suggest if you dont have experience dont try your hand in it.

there is robies garage and AAA service they may do the job or look ask around for guys who own caravans they may know how to install.

It sounds like the abs(safety feature) is being activated. If this is happening at higher speeds when stopping, it's possible the wheels are slipping one of the abs wheel speed sensors may be malfunctioning.

car polishing is a good option. btw how did you fix the car paint?

if its slight flickering then dont need to worry. its normal in summers.

its best to always go for original paint as it saves you in a longer run unless you are planning on selling the car.
