    Can anybody help me with advice on somewhere to get my 2001 SLK roof machanism to work, without taking it into the main dealer who will charge the earth.

    I have been told that maybe a STAR (computerized system that reads faults) is first hing to have checked.

    I would first like to pay for an investigation to get a quote for the cost fixing.

    Any help would be gratefully received.
