I know little about CL class but w y don't you access the diagnostic mode on your merc's display and look at the temperature levels of different aspects or pressure levels? I am assuming it might as well have one. Those help establish where the problem is arising from, a leak, compressor problems due to electrical problems and so on and so forth.

Not to sound too technical but ... This is a common problem on the S Class which occurs because of the P lock solenoid in the gearshift module - sadly the module is only available as one complete unit and must be replaced as the complete gearshift. It also requires coding after it is fitted in.

SL350 is bending forward when braking. Why is this happening?
