  1. @Yusuf Esaf, are you bringing your X or Y62 on Fri? @Werno, are you sorted out for this Fri already or still without a drive?
  2. @Lakshmi Narasimhanthis changes from one week to the other depending on the available drives on each WE.. sometimes there will be more drives on Sat or Fri evening so you can join a 2nd drive still (if open spots are still available by Wed as per the 2nd drive applicable rules) This is also governed by the demand observed and appetite of members to join specific levels at specific times as there is no point in opening drives and signup rates turns out to be too low. So net-net, basic supply and demand my friend but it helps a lot to get feedback from members on what the majority wants and I am sure @Carnitywill do everything possible to respond with the right solutions to keep everyone happy, as much as possible 🙏 Done
  3. @Yusuf Esaf you are now added assuming it’s your first drive for the WE, pls confirm
  4. Thx @Yusuf Esaf you are #1 on WL, as it’s your 1st drive for this WE you have the first right of refusal for the spot just opened @Werno you are #2 on WL after Yusuf
  5. @Pacific thx for your interest in this drive however I noticed you are signed up for another one on Fri already .. pls decide on which one you will join and exit the other one to clear spots of WL.. thx @Yusuf Esaf @Werno thx for your interest, is this your 1st or 2nd drive for the weekend?

  8. Drive Debrief: Was Madam Om Aldwuais there today protecting her dunes?! The day started with Angela’s Xterra not feeling well and refusing to go to the desert! We agreed that I will take the lead supported by @Frederic who accepted the last minute request for support.. thanks buddy. Given it’s a short convoy with all experienced IM drivers we thought it would be an easy one.. we thought wrong! Madam Om Aldwuais had another opinion ! The minute we touched the sand at the deflation point we felt her presence through strong angry winds blowing the sand into our faces. We started making our way deeper into the mighty dunes and for sure they looked different ! With almost no scars or visible tracks and 👻 👻 👻 dancing on top of the dunes by her blowing winds. Obviously she didn’t like us touching her dunes to protect them started to give us all the signs to retreat which we obviously ignored.. some refusals here and there as we climbed higher and enjoyed some 90 mins scaring newly born dunes and bowls with very soft untouched sand. The higher we climb the angrier she got and louder she screamed until she shot a deadly arrow hitting the heart of the black beast. All of a sudden while I was riding the beast up one of her large bowls the beast cried in pain and her temperature suddenly shot to the roof.. I had to put her to rest and uncover the hood to find her bleeding 🩸🩸🩸🩸massively as the arrow hit a primary vein 😢😢 The team got together and everyone pulled up their sleeves and started first aid to try to keep the beast alive..with great skillful workmanship and few basic tools we managed to stop the bleeding and the beast was again roaring to tell Om Aldwuais: it takes more than an arrow to kill the Black Beast💪💪 We safely made our way to the tarmac and with some extra fluids back home. Thanks @Arman @Goutam @Thomas Varghese @Gaurav Soni @amir amiri @Frederic for being there and for the great support to recover the beast and get her safely tarmac.. special thanks to @Fredericfor insisting to drive behind me till we got home 🙏. & my apologize we had to abruptly exit, time will come to make it up and concur Al Madam’s dunes together. Tomorrow I am taking the beast to be treated; hopefully Om Aldwuais’s arrow is not poisoned and the damage is limited to the broken nozzle.
  9. Heads up .. A massive traffic jam on Alain road and the entry to Emirates road was closed for construction .. I may get delayed for 5-10mins
  10. Quick Drive Debrief: Thanks @Frederic @Darren Brooke @Rawad Bahsas @Nithin Vaidir @Hisham Masaad @Chris Wing @JeromeFJ @Mehmet Volga @Adhir Saxena @Sinol @Ranjan Das @Thomas Varghese @Nabil Bishara for a great drive today.. special thanks to @Frederic @Mehmet Volga and @Nabil Bishara for supporting the drive today and helping with the minor stucks and refusals faced. We were blessed with almost virgin dunes after last week’s strong winds altering the terrain and at the same time boosted the challenge with some unstable dunes and very soft spots.. Warming up from the Nazwa farms till we arrived at big red was flawless with almost no refusals which encouraged me to raise the bar and try to take the convoy up through the big red bowls .. turned out to be a challenge and refusal screams started to come up through the radio one after the other so decided to tune it down and go around big red to the play area after the team dealt with the only pop out of the day on @Chris Wing’s FJ. At BR everyone took turns and enjoyed climbing safely to the top .. I believe this helped boost the convoy’s confidence so on our way to Pink Rock I was encouraged to go through some of the big bowls on our route and everyone did pretty well. Moving to the next challenge through a lite taste of the technical dunes, everyone did well with minor stucks & refusals all of which were quickly sorted out with the great help of @Mehmet Volga@Nabil Bisharaand @Hisham Masaad. Surprisingly by the time we exited to the sabkha the radio was overwhelming screaming for more technical dunes 😂 but it was already past 9:00am!. As the convoy OKed to extend the drive by another 30mins, we made our way as planned to Pink Rock where everyone played to their satisfaction and was happy that some drivers kept trying more than once until they managed to learn more about their cars and get the right technique to make it to the top coming down with a big smile on their face. Finally we made our way to 2nd of Dec Caf to inflate at 10:00am. Hats off to all drivers today, I hope you enjoyed the drive as much as I did.. till we meet 🌿 P.S. don’t keep the drive pictures for yourselves and share 😂😂 specially the beautiful one Abdulghani took for the convoy @Hisham Masaad
  11. Dear @Frederic @Darren Brooke @Rawad Bahsas @Nithin Vaidir @Hisham Masaad @Chris Wing @JeromeFJ @Mehmet Volga @Adhir Saxena @Sinol @Ranjan Das @Thomas Varghese @Nabil Bishara, I am excited to have you all tomorrow on the drive and looking forward for a safe and fun drive. See you all tomorrow at 5:30am sharp, all deflated by 5:40am and ISA will start rolling by 5:45am. Below is the convoy order and for radio comms we will on channel 3 (446,056.25).

  15. @Lorenzo Candelpergher I just want to give heads-up that I may not be able to join in the morning as I had my second shot yesterday and today I don’t feel well.. will see how it goes through the evening and if I don’t feel fit enough I will skip this drive.. apologize for any inconvenience
  16. Thx a lot @Lorenzo Candelpergher for a great weekday morning drive. Having 12 signups for a morning workday drive in Ramadan and the hot summer shows how thirsty Carnities are always are to get back on the sand! With an early morning start we got to enjoy nice breeze and been accompanied by a magnificent camel convoy and the sighting of the camels roaming the desert freely without robes around their white 10s of large birds lining up on that large dune observing the whole convoy was a joyful moment. Excellent performance from everyone in the convoy specially with new fewbies who all did a great job and we were blessed with the support of @Ahab Shamaaand @Gaurav Soni today, thanks all another special thanks to @Lorenzo Candelpergherfor allowing me to lead part of the drive, really appreciated. As my first convoy lead I had lots of learning today battling the urge to enjoy the best dunes that area had to offer while being conscious of our direction to head towards the fort and avoid the tech area, a job that proved challenging with the dunes laying themselves west to east giving only one option to keep crossing these dunes in order to head north toward the fort. With the time pressing and work commitments waiting for all we had to forgive our plan and fast track back towards Qudra to exit on time. Thanks again everyone, can’t wait to drive with you all soon.
  17. That’s sad @Chaitanya D.. I was really looking forward for it as we have been missing driving with you for long time.. unfortunately 15th will be Ramadan already and Iftar will be an hour away from start of the drive so I don’t think it will work.. have a wonderful drive and hope to drive together soon
  18. very well plan @Ale Vallecchi and @Wrangeld for the day wrapped with mysterious buzz which obviously attracted lots of adventure seekers. As usual, amazing drive with just the right amount of spices which started becoming more "hot" towards the end with Lisalili's white sand reflecting the shinning sun into everyone's eyes making it very hard to read the dunes or follow the track.. no wonder glass is made out of sand! Still everyone managed extremely well with minor refusals and stucks here and there quickly and flawlessly managed by an amazing team work. @Ahab Shamaa thanks for a flawless 2nd lead .. I still think you can make loads of money for every time you put your winch to work @Francois Germishuys great sweep and great recovery job today buddy.. well done.. you only need to work on your speed .. you are tooooo slow on the road :)))) @Jeepiesorry that you had to deal with with all the destroyed tracks the beast leaves behind .. was great to drive with you again
  19. On the positive side looks like there is a consensus around how good@Ilya Golubinsky drives.. unfortunately that strengthen the theory about his intentions towards his in-laws 😂😂😂😂
  20. Yes.. just a small readjustment for the door brackets .. thank you 😊 next time will have to borrow a Red Bull from you @Foxtrot Oscar
  21. Very happy @Ilya Golubinsky that the car didn’t suffer any issues other than the broken side mirror but even happier that you and your in-laws are all safe and I am more than impressed that they didn’t mind continuing the drive till we exited.. great spirit. I will second what Angela @Foxtrot Oscar shared over the radio about how good of an off-roader you are.. I always enjoyed driving with you and you are definitely an excellent driver.. no doubt.. however no one is safe from that split-second mistake hence the need for extreme and sharp focus for the full drive.. actually I committed that mistake twice today, the first one when I flew over that ridge to get on the other side and the second time while trying to recover @Mohamed Seidam X and miscalculated the power I need to give to get it out resulting in having both our cars with a stretched recovery rope in the middle.. thankfully I had the D-Shackle which saved the rope from being sacrificed... so as you correctly said, we all go into the desert with a clear understanding of the associated risks and we keep building our skills to continue avoid these unfortunate events from happening. as @Ale Vallecchi said it goes to the first thing we are all told and keep reminded of every time, no matter how good the driver is or mighty and powerful the car is, gravity always wins! finally, today was another heartwarming testimony for @Carnity ethics and values exemplified in how the recovery was orchestrated by@Ale Vallecchi and executed by everyone teaming together not sparing any effort or tool leading to safe and zero-damage recovery of the car.. wonderful team work... thanks all.
  22. @Humayun Ghias @Rawad Bahsas out of my personal experience I would kill all before as we deflate (traction control, ABS, airbags,..). It cave be done through a kill switch or easier by unplugging the relevant fuses. Consultation with the expert car technician is a must for the safest and convenient way based on own car. Traction control and ABS plays with the maneuverability and control of the car while offroading.. I prefer to have full manual control without any tech sophisticated assistance. Airbags is of course a very important safety feature, however sometimes the sensors are fouled by the car behavior on the sand and deploy as the car “mistakenly” thinks it’s rolling or involved in an accident. It’s all part of knowing own car better and decide what is best setup for going on the sand
  23. Stunning morning drive led by @Rahimdad with quite good achievements .. all NB up Fossil Rock without a single refusal and then crawl down on the rocky side of FR towards Faya through the mighty bowls up to the highest point of Faya.. not a NB itinerary that you see everyday .. thanks a lot @Rahimdad and thanks @Jasim Khumi and @Ahmed Wagdy for the wonderful support. very well done to the whole convoy for this fun and fulfilling drive.. great driving with you all and can’t wait for the next one.. enjoy the weekend and c u soon on the sand 🎢
