  1. Hi all,

Thank you all for your support during the epic recovery of my Cherokee, that decided to break down on the ridge of a dune.

What played out was the perfect example of the benefits of joining a club. Your surounded by highly competant individuals ready to support you in your time of need.

I am happy to report that we managed to get my vehicle after much persistance, to the gravel road under the pilons. Not quiet sure how tbh. Many less skilled whould have thought it impossible.

It's a good job it was Jan and not April!!!

Thanks you to Richard, Brette, Tomas and everyone else that helped during the recovery.

The vehicles now in the garage, so hopefully I can join you on a ride very soon.

  2. Jeep Cherokee 2001 US Model

    Hi all,

I've just joined Carnity, and I'm hoping to join my first drive tomorrow, but am struggling to find a way to turn off my air bags. I've searched online but can tseem to find the info.

Also I'm unsure exactly where the best tow points are on the vehicle. Its a stock model so there is nothing fancy on the vehicle. Can I still turn up fr the newbie drive tomorrow if I dont have any shackele points?

Dont want to miss out, as I dont always have the weekends off.

Any help would be appreciated. Apologies if this has been covered in previous forum posts.

    Rgds

@Ashwin0223, @Leon Haywood @Cesar Younes Welcome to Carnity. thanks for signing up for the drive on Friday.

I understand you have, respectively a Hummer, Cherokee and Fortuner. Please confirm that you have good condition tow points front and back and that you have watched all the Carnity briefing videos before you join the drive. These are important. If you come 'cold' to the drive, you'll find it less enjoyable.

Please also share a little mit of information about your 4x4 experience if any and reasons for wanting to learn.

Looking forward to seeing you Friday.

Hi Wrangled, I have a stock Cherokee 2001, which I know doesnt have any after market tow bar or anything like that. Is there anything I can do to get it more perepared, as I dont want to miss out on the drive? The vehicle obviosly has tow points but normally needs a look over to find options.

I have driven light offroad in Fortuner and Silverado on 15pis, but nothing crazy. I am going to watch the videos now.
