Just to help solve the puzzle:

• Head gasket is fixed from top of the engine bay.
• Engine sump gasket is fixed from bottom of the car.

Have you tried the engine oil additives like Engine Restorer, Gunk Motor Flush or Cerma? If not, may be you can explore that avenue if missing is very mild and no smoke, hesitation or loss of pwer showed up yet.

Your engine sound seems like exhaust valve is sticky or noticeably blocked.

Looks like its time to change the ideal control valve/sensor as a first doubt if you are not explaining anything further.

For the SRS light issue in short the answer, there is some airbag issue in your car which is a safety aspect and that's why its showing you the light that in case of serious accident your car airbag might not pop-out. In case of some previous accident the airbag sensor might not have changed as it's expensive fix and that why car ECU still reads as air-bag is having an issue.

This is def a bit involved repair than something you can do it yourself. You definitely need an experienced workshop who specialize in VW or such jobs to get this fixed.

Although I am not a big fan of Kia, but I know 2 guys who drive Optima and they swear by its performance and luxury. This 2016 model looks quite better from inside and follow Audi interior design line as well as it does for exterior since 2012 facelift models.

May be worth checking the battery connection is loose, as if it is loose and when car is started then you wont feel that on anything other than interior lights and music system which uses the battery power.

Ask him to run the car with music system on and switch interior light to test if music system also skips a beat or not...?

To be honest I havent heard anything wrong here in UAE about the VW petrol cars, as my three colleagues drives VW and we were discussing this matter for days last month.

It seems that govt has given all dealers time till end of this year to streamline this move, and I am really curious to hear what Japanese car dealers has to say to increasing the service life-span and what German boyz has to say to decreasing the life-span.....?

Your BMW has single serpentine belt not multiple if it's newer than 2003, as older model has separate belts sometime in 90's model.
