  1. I don't agree with that!
One who does a mistake gets a ticket, 200-300 is too much for them, they are indeed poor drivers, as Danny has mentioned.

Do you know that they are allowed to make only 3 accidents throughout a whole year, if they make more than that their Taxi license will be cancelled?

Talking about fines, these were the tickets by Taxi drivers, i'm sure you don't want to know the tickets other people do..

  2. Hi Cyborg, thanks for your input...

The price is lower for two main reasons:

    1. This is how the market is, they always decrease the amount of US specs.

    2. Because mostly cars from the US have accidents, so when a car has an accident, it eventually decreases the price of the car, until it's fixed & gives it a push up in the price..

That's why you need to well check the car before buying it, adding, the location of the accident is important whether it's from the side doors, the front or from the back, all of this plays an important role while buying the car.

For example now I have a US specs car, it's accident is from the back like the whole trunk was changed, i've been using it for 1 year, just renewed it for another year, it's more than perfect, zero problems, & i'm happy with it .

  3. Actually US specs are better than GCC specs in all matters..

I've been living in UAE for 33 years+

I was always convinced that GCC specs are better, until I personally tried US specs, i'm a car lunatic, i change my car almost 10 times aa year, I love changing cars & here are my notices about US specs..

    1. They have more AirBags than GCC specs, as seems that they care more about lives in the US than in Gcc cars..

    2. They have Xenon front lights, different more techy lights compared to GCC.

    3. They have way more options than GCC specs, because in the US, they are allowed to choose extra options by themselves, meaning each single spot in the car, you will be charged for it, but basic safety is a must there.

    4. US specs cars are fully equiped with ABS systems, Gcc specs have many cars with no ABS system, especially with smaller cars lile Tiida or Nissan Sunny.

    5. As for the AC, old models below 2006, yes you might need to change some stuff with the radiator, basically any car which is older than 2006 even if it's a GCX, due to the age, you'll need to change the radiator, due to hot weather, rust, highway long distance driving, as for the newer models meaning 2007+ AC's in them are working perfectly, you won't need to change nothing in the car, they are exactly the same as GCC specs, it all depends upon how the car was fixed & where.

    6. Around 5% of the cars imported from USA are flooded, & you will rarely face a car that is being sold which has been flooded, & flood doesn't only mean Tsunami Or Katrina, floods can happen throughout the year with any car anywhere in any lake or during snow, so it can be a 2016 car which is flooded, yes it happens.

    7. I bought a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer GCC specs, after investigations it came out to be totalled after i bought it, in other means, not only US specs have accidents, but also GCC specs, it's all about checking the car properly before buying it.

  4. Gauruv, Never had any problems with the AC thanks God, it was freezing the whole time, if it had something like that I would've changed the whole radiator, they're not expensive these days, besides in this hot weather, i'm sure no one wants to spend a single minute without an AC!

Technician, I've sold my R/T for 55,000 Dhs, like 5 months ago..
I've seen someone whose selling his SRT for 45,000 last month, prices of cars went down like crazy, I don't know about it's prices right now, wanted to get you the Ad of the SRT, couldn't find it..

If you need help getting one or checking it out, i'll be more than happy to help you out with it anytime, any day..

  5. I owned a 2013 American specifications V8 5.7 Litre stick shift Manual Transmission Challenger

It had an accident from the front & the sides, I used to rip off Mercedes G55's with it..

I had it for almost a year, sold it out because I needed cash, now I regret selling it, as it was the best car I've ever owned in my life..

No one can mess with you in the road, the power in the stick shift takes you to a total different level, it's so freakin fast & unbeatable..

If you want my suggestion don't go for the V6, shift directly to R/T or SRT, they have better engine, stronger, let's not forget the roar of the exhaust threats you like big time, you don't need to drive fast to hear, just driving slowly anywhere is orgasmic to your ears!

As for the spare parts, dunno where did the owner of the Nissan Sunny get his information from ^^^ but the prices are moderate, if you search at the proper location, thanks God the whole time it was with me, I never had any problems, either mechanic or throughout the body..

Last but not least, why get one from the dealer who will rip the crap out of you with it's price, when you can get an SRT 2013 for 40,000 dirhams!

    Yes, prices are low down!

  6. The most annoying thing ever is to see someone driving slowly on the fast lane like he owns the lane..

Derik said something about Educating people..

I say No, because this issue was raised many many many times all over UAE, whether through media radio channels, Tv, Rta or even through flyers at Dubai Police adding to all these the rants through social media networks!

After all these Ads, driving on the left lane in a slower than the actual speed orr not giving a way means the person whose doing it is doing it on purpose..

500$ for people in Indianna, 1000$ for the people in UAE because people here won't learn the lesson until it's a heavy nice cheesy bill..

Yes amitaj, ^ that is what I am talking about .... and my guess is that a 2006 LC with 150k mileage or so will sell in today's market for some where between 46-50k.

But back to the original question - Which is a good place to post car adverts? I don't like spending AED199 every time I want to sell a car.

I hate it too, but if you thought of it logically, what's Dirhams 200 when you're selling car for thousands of dirhams ?

    Yet I still hate it..

Interesting development on this thread from lot of different angle. One more aspect that looks like missed till now is people expectations has grown up so much that it seems they really dont want to sell the car and just placing an ad for fun. It's all because of ads price is free at will, so if your car worth 50k but you can inflate to 80k and then think you might get lucky by a monkey who dont know the price. This actually happen in 0.00001% scenario and remaining 99.9999% it spoils the car real resale value as after seeing these inflated price, every other new private seller following same inflated pattern. And when you compare the car dealers they off course have insurance rated data based on car actual price with number of year for depreciation. Off course I know dealer is not saint and they cannot be as they need to resell the car, but the margin between the dealer price and actual listed classifieds price has grown because of people's false expectation. They have to learn to be more realistic, that's it.

    This is what I meant........lol.

    Capture.JPG

The price is fine with the 99'000 car..

His car is a Manual Gear with almost 40,000 dirhams Turbo fitted into it, that's why his price is high compared with other vehicles at the same model ..

Wow! your hate for Fj has changed you to a totally irrational person and you can't even know it...

All cars roll over, it's only that there isn't not enough Xterras out there in the desert to hear about them. because those who buy it donot believe it's for serious offroading despite the car is really capable off-road. if we all agree it's the driving skills that gets you in trouble so why would we blame the car.... i can't emphasise on this enough...

I think you are trying to prove my point but in a negative way .. but i got you .. Yes FJ is a car that has a spirit and bold character and the driver who can't just handle that may end in troubles...

and Woow!! you really know now what type of guy I am , impressive...!! i am really impressed with your speculation skills, I think the dunes has not taught you well yet. Good luck with that in the desert...

FJ visibility is a problem for those who raise the seat to see under their feet( meaning what the front wheels are tackling) , it's a bad driving practise off-road and on-road. Usually the driver tends to see these few meter just before the car once they go off-road to feel secure.  Those will definitly make bad drivers . FJ visibility is a problem for every person has a weak brain attention capability... nothing wrong with that... can't drive without feeling so secure, there are other options ... but this the FJ spirit ... adventurous and yes the moment you drive up the dune and see nothing but the skies is a true excitement , FJ was not made for idiots , it's made for the bold and confident. Made to be a unique character look at the doors , you can't even tell if it's short or long wheel base. it's simply brilliant.

If you are going to be negative about FJ for the doors and visibility , it's simply not for you .. those who know the spirit of this car knows why it's made like this... without any arguments ...

By numbers, Xterra may outweigh FJ, in horse power, price and maintenance cost...by the end no body regrets buying a car because he did not study the car very well, it's because they didn't study what they want very well.

I just signed up to comment, not intending to stay here too long ,do not worry...I think you have a problem with FJ before i even start talking... I did not say anything that depicts the car as *Strongest car mother earth had*... but yeah I really love the car... am i really going hard on everyone ? :D what can I say, life's tough :D ...you are funny guy by the way ... Drive safe bro...

Yeah, i do have lots of problems with Fj's, starting with safety, ending with all people rolling over in them at the desert, as a matter of fact two weeks ago someone rolles over with them at Al faya..

You do really need to drive safe with your car, as Ayman have told you, you are the type of guys who roll over at the end of the day, enjoy the A track & diff lock, use them cautiously though, always take care at side slopes, as your vision will be zero in the front while trying to do that, good luck..

:D  Good luck showing your hardcore skills doing the "right and left" thing to get out of stuck, Marshal! OH! I forgot you donot even get stuck.Double standards!!  ... I know it kills to see a FJ getting out( out of the same shit you were into ) like a boss...

other than that ... I have no comments on your language or on you as a person

You're the newest member here, I guess you should at least show us some good deeds instead of acting in such a way..

Dunno what language you're talking about, but I guess we're all using proper english here correct ?

And for hardcore skills, never showed any hardcore skills, since you're a Marshal with an FJ & Proud of it, I guess you're the one showing muscles with the *Strongest car mother earth had*

Chillaaaaax bro, chillaaax, you're going hard on everybody here..

    Pain?! Shut up!

    it's only joy with FJ.

You know who feels the pain? those jeepers and patrol owners who get stuck badly and need someone to pull them out, you will know them by their talks praising the kinetic robe and soft shackles :D:D

In Fj you have recovery options that takes you out of any shit! I meant it , out of any shit!

Once I learned how to use them right " Diff lock" and "A-Trac" , i have a different estimation for my situation. All the jeepers and patrol marshals say that I'm stuck... and later they watch the FJ getting out of it easily, I just like the surprised look on their faces. and they know I do. :Dand they hate it. :D

I can see you are driving Jeep , good luck with your toy.

Bro, bro, you need to Chillax, you are definitely so mad about that buy, no worries, as i've allready told ya, life's tough..

Anyways, i dunno what Marshals & what club you're in which has it's Marshals getting stuck the whole time, if you're a Marshal as everybody says they are everywherr, this getting stuck issue shouldn't be even mentioned..

Who needs a Diff Lock & A-Track crappy buttons when you're allready a *Marshal*

Good luck Marshalling with an Fj that get stuck the whole time..

I have been where you are, the time i decided to buy 4x4 , and since I am not a big fan of american cars specially, Jeep. My choices according to my budget became limited to FJ and Xterra ..

So Why I chose FJ over Xterra...

Forget about the coolness and horsepower , which is every superficial point of argument ...

You wanna be a true adventure and be taken series , you will definitely choose FJ...

You need a car that has adventurous spirit as you are...

I donot think a true adventurer would love to go off-road with a car that has saloon car like interiors , and when I say off-road does not mean only the sands ... It means also to wadi and mountains in Oman and UAE.. you need interiors that looks great when it's dirty and does not make you feel like you fucked up your city car too...

FJ interior are not only very practical when it comes to this point but it's also spacious , which is another thing you will learn with your first long weekend offroad trip, when realise that you just can't keep everything in place in a long trip ...

Those who say that Xterra is more manly.. I can't see your point... because once you step into FJ you feel like you stepped into a tank ,, a feeling you will never have  when you get into Xterra... and when you press on the gas pedal and hear the engine with the face of the car lifts up by the engine power , you gotta excuse Fj guys for being so cocky ...

Both cars are capable off-road , but a true adventurer and off-roader knows it's the driver that makes difference all the time , but when off-roading get a little bit serious Xterra guys usually quit , why ? because you gotta do some modifications and you need car that gets the after market attention... FJ has an after market part for every essential off-road component, you can change side steps and bumpers and replace skid plates with many options available ... obviously the suspension with different grades are available too ...

if you choose Xterra I won't Judge you, but I think you have decided already when you are going to quit offroading...

    I feel your pain Amr

    I just feel it..

I know the feeling of buying the worst car on earth & then notice that you've done the biggest mistake on mother earth..

İt really shows in each word you've written that you're going through severe pain..

This is life, hard luck Amr..

  14. Al Zamreeq at Sharjah industrial

I've been sendih my C & E class for him for the last 15 years..

He haas excellent experience in Mercedes & only Mercedes..

You only have to watch out for one thing, spare parts he sells you are from his own shop, so if he tells you to go & buy the part from a certain shop, it will definitely be his shop, it's a very good chance to ask for a good price when you buy from them..

  15. I've got the 2014 Mustang V6

And 2015 Mustang 2.3 ltr 4 Cylinder Ecoboost

Now planning to add LZ1 to the list..

    Each has it's own beauty..

The 2014 is powerful, though it's a 6 Cylinder, but I Love to ride it, it has this classic ride in it adding it's a convertable, everybody's eyes fall on it when i switch into convertible mode, the front head lights of it is SO special, i'd drive it on weekends usually.

As for the 2015 Mustang, it's a total different level, everything in it is special, from the engine to the inner fantastic look to the amazing options it has in it, up to the wide angel screen rear camera, the sound of the Turbo in it gives you that different feeling, on the other hand, there is no much enough space in the back seats, it has two nice seats, but the 2014 model is bigger than this model, & if someone whose tall wants to sit backwards, it won't fit him & it will hurt his neck.

Here is a video of it:

I'm getting the Camaro LZ1 or SS maybe just to feel the difference & which is better, then i'll keep one of them.

  16. Thanks for getting up this thread!

    Answering Derik:

I think Toyota now thinks that they're the best Manufacturer in town, not anymore, they're mistaken, there are lots of other Manufacturers which hold way better cars than them.

I'd definitely go with an X for many reasons, starting with the most important reason which is the viewing angle & it has so many blindspot and difficult shoulder view, it's dangerous to drive an FJC, I have zero trust in it!

And second thing which is also as important as the first point, it looks ugly like big big time!

Third I've heard that they'll stop manufacturing the FJC not the X

    Here: http://www.autonews.com/article/20131105/OEM01/131109895/toyota-to-drop-fj-cruiser-after-2014-model-year

Not to mention Toyota Always keeps on pulling cars from the market after selling it to the buyer, like for example just yesterday Toyota announced that it will withdraw all 9446 Rav4 cars between the year 2006-2012 from UAE market due to a default in the Rear car seat belt, just imagine how many lives the expensive *Toyota* car have sacrificed for 12 years!!

Like seriously, a default in a Rear car seat belt for 6 years & no one have sued them until now!

Here is the link for the Withdrawal of Rav4 cars: http://www.abudhabinews.net/index.php/sid/241500027
