  1. I have been researching on gopro, sony and garmin full hd action camera from sometime, and now confuse to make the perfect choice. Hoping some of you have any experience here to help me make a right choice. Gopro wins in quality, Sony wins in battery time and Garmin one gets the best voice activated feature. Is there any one that has best of all and yet easy to use and comes with reasonable price tag of 1500 dhs or closer.

  2. Im not sure about the code, but don't worry as not everything link to ABS is scary, as it is just a feature to assist brake and prevent skidding in that one extreme hard braking once in 3 -5 years. Take your time and get it fix, but don't fall prey to greedy mechanic who link everything with brake to life and death matter. They simply use this scare tactics to make money.

  3. @William Manning you must be joking by saying Toyota Land Cruiser is the best offroad vehicle for dubai desert.....!

Don't be mistaken by desert safari choice as they use Land Cruiser as a donkey for daily track and hardly do couple of sidey's to impress. Real expert off-roader can drive corolla on the same desert safari track. These people choose Land Cruiser as it is cheapest to maintain and damn reliable than any other SUV in UAE, but it is not "best off-roader".

Why it is not best, because it has THE WORST body weight-power ratio and its long wheel base make it less appealing for dune crossing or ridge riding. In new models LC200 that comes with lower lip that get bashed up in first two drive and cost a fortune to fix. This misleading info from desert safari impression cost too much for every individual who think if safari guys using this for commercial use then it must be the best 4x4 out there. No it's not, I'm sorry.

  4. Pajero is good car and just a little bit expensive to maintain compare to Toyota and Nissan due to lil expensive parts, but servicing and labor cost is almost same.

I am not sure who gave you info that Toyota sucks in service.......! I had Toyota once long ago and I still swear by Al futtaim service is much much better than any other American and German brands I have tried in Dubai.

Just a small note, if you have a chance to upgrade from 3.5 to 3.8 with any reasonable price difference, please do that as 3.8 is awesome in sand and 3.5 is bit sluggish. You will remember this advise when 5 people loaded with camping gear and bogged down in sand.

  5. 2016 Lancer must be in warranty! What dealer are saying?

What exactly you meant by not working, please explain more in detail:

    1. It doesn't show the Bluetooth option? Or it shows Bluetooth icon but doesn't connect?
    2. USB when inserted doesn't get recognized or get recognized but doesn't play anything?
    3. Same for AUX, please explain.

All 3 things can't fail at one time in such a new model, there must be a faulty player (in-dash system) or some connections went south.

  6. Following my other thread (below). Just wanted to create an opinion poll here to see what majority of us car enthusiast's think here:

    • Slowpokes in left lane to be fined in UAE?

Slowpokes is the person who drive slower than road limit in the left most fastest lane and block traffic flow. Practically speaking left most lane is for overtaking only and you only enter and exit that lane at higher speed than the road limit for overtaking purposes ONLY. And you should leave that lane as soon as you have found next right lane empty to match your speed. In Dubai, we see snail drivers driving at 80 kmph on 100 kmph speed limit road, where many other want to drive at 115-120 kmph and reach faster. These slowpokes block fast moving traffic and cause more bottle neck and contribute severely to your road delays everyday. Should they be fined......? Yes or No.

  7. Sorry boys who love adnoc or enoc motor oil, they are cheap substitute to OEM motor oil. Don't fill people cars with non branded and non recommended motor oil. It's misleading and dangerous.

If you support them, then ask them if any one car manufacturer recommended their formula is safe for their cars.....?

That is one of the reason why big brands like castrol, liqui moly, shell, mobil1 etc print on every bottle recommended by Porsche, BMW, VW, Etc, because their blend and formula is certified and recommended by known car manufacturers.
