Take the plug out at the top of the box, if the level is correct then it should be just inside. They are filled through this until they overflow. When the overflow stops it's correct. Same applies to the diffs

Well since my last post I noticed mine is also split on the top middle section. I have a solution in mind so will post a before and after picture once it's done

I use the same pressure on all four corners. That said I old disco had a heavy duty steel bumper and winch so I did run slightly higher in that one

Doc yes i will for now, must dig out the RAVE CD and find the relevant wires to bypass it, once i know will post it here

Agreed there as if it is the warped block you won't rebuild it anyway its scrap. Just had that happen to my V8 Disco in the UK

Would agree with nut bolt there, found 12 psi best in the sand with a Disco, but I run 35 around town in the summer and drop to 30 in the winter due to the tyres being harder

If it wasvth UK no, but it's rather warm here isn't it?

Difficult to do with a plastic bumper, post a photo let's see how bad it is?

What is the tyre pressure when you get back to the Tarmac?

What engine is it? If its the K Series, either the 2.5 or the 1.8 then being Pre 2003 it had less dowels in the block and they were a lot more prone to warping in the heat. If it has then your engine is goosed. No matter what you do you won't stop the leaks.

Does anyone know how to bypass the petrol cap switch so you can open It without turning the engine off?

Hi all Big G here, been into The Green Oval for years, think i am up to number nine now, in the past I have owned three Freelanders, one of such was the most modified in the UK at the time, look up Xtremelander on you tide, a P38A Rangy and five Discovery's ranging form a 91 three door to my present one an MY04 Disco. In the process of modifying the latest one and hand carried the light bar back from the UK, airport staff thought i was nuts!
