to fix it, one needs to check the temperature. You can use the thermometer to check the exact temperature in the thermostat. If its boiling, you need to replace the thermostat because it can be internal oil leaking.

Whenever the thermostat stick is shut down, it causes the engine to overheat. And whenever the engine is overheated because of abnorml operating temperature, it pops up the trouble code of coolant thermostat.

There can be the leak in the variable assist system of the power steering. If you do not find any leak, then may be center wearing the steering gears or the hose failures. Basically the power steering experience troubles in lower speed. More the speed of the car, lesser is the pressure on the power steering. So you might be taking turns on a very low speed which is directly affecting the power steering performance.

I think its too much! you don't live in california where catalytic converter is very expensive. I don't think it will cost you more than 1000$. You go to some other professionals as well and try to know the price.

Wel there can be many reasons:

Radiator broken: If the radiator of your car is broken then the engine heats up very fast

Low Coolant: If the engine persist low coolants then they are not enough to decrease the temperature in the engine.

Electric Fan cooling: Or may be the electric fan cooling is not working in your car.

Engine overheating is always bad, so you get your car checked in the service centre asap.
