CONVOY LIST FOR TOMORROW: @Nagham Albeitawi @Amit SRP @Vishal S @Shafeek Kiblawi, MD @marks @Antony Calvin @khurram.k @Ahmed Mohieddeen @Osama Al Hamwi @Tejas Patel @Gesa-Marie Louise Fischer @Ashwin0223 @pqpqpq @Shamil Please find your convoy positions for tomorrow listed above. Some pointers: 1) Please be on time, and a bit (15-20 mins) earlier is even better so we have some time to help you deflate the tyres. 2) Bring a pressure gauge / deflator so you can deflate your tyres. These are available in most hardware shops (ACE, Speedex, AdventureHQ). If you have already more tools like a shovel, walkie talkie, offroad flag, please bring them along as well. 3) The Last Exit gas station compressor is out of service since a long time, so i advise you to bring a small compressor so you can inflate your tyres. If its a small model compressor i would advise to inflate to 25 psi and then inflate fully on the way home in any petrol station. 4) Please make sure your gas tank is full and the vehicle is properly serviced, has a spare wheel, and front and rear towpoints. 5) All our drives are fully COVID compliant, hence we all wear a mask outside the car and keep our social distance at all times. Seniors on the drive are myself, Mark (FJ Cruiser), and Shamil (Xterra). We will be helping you out during stucks and look forward meeting you and welcoming you as new members of our offroad family ! See you tomorrow !

The Nissan Super Safari is an amazing offroad vehicle, @Mario Cornejo has one and can probably tell you all the ins and outs about it. Any 4x4 will need practice to drive on sand, this is entirely up to driver skills. Getting stuck / coming out easily same thing. The 4800cc is plenty powerful for offroading (i drive a Pajero 3.0 V6 from 1999 🤣)

@GD27 and @Pacific i understand your points, but recoveries (however hard they are or long they take) are sometimes a part of an Offroad drive, and this Absolute Newbie drive is designed with a longer briefing specifically tailored for new joiners. The Newbie level drives are only slightly more paced (10-20%) based on the convoy response so don't be worried about the lack of drive experience. As you have both done the Absolute Newbie drive, you are now considered Newbies and eligible for Newbie level drives, not the Absolute Newbie drive anymore. If the existing Newbie drives are full please send a message on that drive topic with the request to be put in the waitlist. I will remove you both from the RSVP list now. Thanks !

How to Fix Your Camel Compressor
Frederic replied to Frederic's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
Good point about leaving the hoses flat in the trunk to let them cool down. Cleaning the air filter can be done by removing it and slightly "tapping" it on the floor, you will see most of the sand will easily fall out. The 5 year warranty is a great thing and i considered a MM too, but as i am seriously impressed with the Camel brand single big piston model (160lpm) We've been using now for the third year (only replaced the hose once:60 AED), i went and bought another one yesterday for 250 AED. Fingers crossed and hope this one will be as good as my first Camel compressor. -
