  2. Dear Desert Drivers, Some additional details to Saturday morning. Arriving at the meeting point, you will see a gate. Approach the gate slowly, and it will open by itself. Last week, the right part was blocked half open, but the left part was operating properly. If there is still water remaining before the gate, you can go around driving 50 m more on the road and going around, coming back to the gate along the fence. Be sure your car is in the best condition to drive with the heat, and remove unnecessary items from the back seats and the trunk areas. I will indicate tomorrow by the end of the afternoon the convoy order and the radio frequency. If you have not done it yet, please program in advance the 10 Carnity frequency.

  8. Thank you for joining the drive in Lisaili this morning. It was great to see you motivated and eager to learn. We found a good mix of terrain, with the high dunes at the beginning, and the more technical dunes in the second part. A lot of bushes though, but it is part of the game, to accept the desert as it is, and to manage our progression through the obstacles. In the efforts to escape the bushes we had nice opportunities to drive on some long ridges, which is an excellent practice, to keep the balance of the car on a narrow line. Best thing, we had some beautiful desert views, with some green, and a lot of camels and wildlife. You did great throughout the drive, pushing your engine and controlling your lines on the side sloping, and then keeping a constant momentum and precise driving in the technical portions. @Danny G thank you for the Second Lead, checking my lines, and adjusting when required. @JanS great efforts in the crossings, you were getting more confident by the end of the drive. @Pramod B great drive, still a bit of adjustment needed for the climbs and side slope, but the confidence is growing. @J-P L, amazing to see the Jimny (and your) ability to cross that mixed terrain. @Zubail the heavy Expedition has a great stability on the sand, you will continue to learn to adjust the required amount of power needed depending on the dunes. @Victor Socaciu great driving, you are really getting fast in sync with your Jeep. @Ozgu, @Ben Williams great to have you, you are now experienced drivers for this level. @TT_Dubai pleasure to have you after a long time, thank you for watching the back of the convoy, and supporting others when needed. @Frederic, big thank you for joining and watching the convoy from the middle. Always a great pleasure to drive with you ! Thank you all again for participating with a great team spirit to the recoveries and shoveling efforts. You can post your feedback here, and your photos in the gallery. Enjoy the rest of the weekend !

  13. Dear Desert Drivers, thank you for joining the drive today. First difficulty was to reach the meeting point through the mud pond... but there was a way around. Same once we were into the desert. High dunes where all around us, in the first portion, and we have always found the way to go around or to pass through. Great skills around, as you had to manage the balance and momentum of your car to get you on the top of that dune, or to pass over that ridge. We had also a few high climbs, and 1 or 2 bowls to play with, great opportunities to push our cars, understand the acceleration required to climb, and to maintain the balance and ability to turn. Going down showed to be challenging also, as we had 2 cars stuck on a crest, and a pop-out in the steep descent after the break. In the second part of the drive, we had smaller technical dunes before reaching the sabkha, and nice rolling dunes to quietly finish the drive, spotting big groups of camels. All in all, a nice desert experience, and a great way to start the weekend! @Wilfredo Perez, thank you for the 2nd lead, adjusting my route when needed, @jinoy well done for your 2nd drive, continue to work on understanding the balance and energy of the car. @Giacomo, great driving, @Victor Socaciu very well done for your first drive with us, you will fully enjoy the blue jeep. @Rajath Shetty @Walter Palk @nithish468, the FJ gang, no issue at all, @Adam Black the long truck was crested only once, great job! @ChrisW @Martin M @Ahmed Farouk @Julian Patterson you were really comfortable in the drive today, well done. Big thank you for the support of @Benjamin @Joji varghese @Gary F always around when needed, with clear instructions to guide cars safely out of precarious situations. Waiting for your feedback and pictures in the gallery. Enjoy the rest of the weekend

Dear Desert Drivers, @Wilfredo Perez @jinoy @Giacomo @Victor Socaciu @Benjamin @Rajath Shetty @Walter Palk @nithish468 @Adam Black @Joji varghese @ChrisW @Ozgu @Martin M @Ahmed Farouk @Julian Patterson @Gary F Last updates for tomorrow morning. We will meet at 6:00 am at https://maps.app.goo.gl/f8nSRBXb24ryGTvm8 We are a big group, please make an effort to be there a bit ahead of time not to delay the whole group. Reaching to the meeting point, you will see a gate, just reach slowly to the gate, and it will open by itself. Once you reach the group, you can start deflating your tires and installing your flag. Support members will assist you if needed. The convoy order will be We will use Carnity Radio Frequency 5. Enjoy the evening, take as much sleep as you can, and see you tomorrow morning !
  15. Hi @Victor Socaciu, thank you for your confirmation. For the radio, we recommend the Motorola/Crony MT777, Crony CN888, or Baofeng UV-5R. I have the Motorola. and the post indicated by Sunil is very valuable information. Worst case, I can lend you one for this first drive. Please have a look at the towing points, sorts of hooks or rings that you should see, in the front and in the back. They will be used in case your car is stuck, to pull you with another car. It is a simple and easy procedure, but can become difficult or dangerous if the car doesn't have proper towing points. Thank you. You can DM me at 05 88 62 09 42 if you have questions.
  16. Thank you @Martin Schwaiger, I hope you will have another opportunity very soon.
  17. @Victor Socaciu, If I'm correct, this will be your first drive with Carnity. Can you please indicate if you have previous off-roading experience. watch and confirm the video "Absolute Newbie Briefing" (link on top of this post), check and confirm that your car has tow points front and rear confirm that you have flag and radio, and a shovel Any specific question, let me know, thank you.
  18. Good morning, Thank you for signing up for the drive on Saturday morning. We have a lot of attendance including the waitlist and unfortunately, I will not be able to accept everyone. If the convoy is too long, it becomes more difficult to have all cars running together, and if we have more issues, or more cars stuck, it takes more time for the whole convoy. So... this is what I will do @Giacomo @ChrisW @Wilfredo Perez @Ozgu @Adam Black @nithish468 @Joji varghese @Rajath Shetty @jinoy @Zubail @Walter Palk @Zubair @Gary F, you are confirmed. No action from your side, but let me know or remove your RSVP if you changed your plan. @Victor Socaciu @Benjamin, first 2 in the wait list, I'm adding you to the drive. Please confirm your attendance. @Martin Schwaiger @Julian Patterson @Martin M @Ahmed Farouk, you are in the wait list, in that order. If before Friday 7:00 pm, one of the above indicates he is not coming, I will add you. Thank you for your understanding. I will communicate by the end of the afternoon tomorrow the convoy order and radio channel. Stay tuned!
  19. Good morning @Renier Venter, someone removed you already from "Manage". If you want to attend, you can add yourself to the wait list. We are still at the beginning of the week, so you have your chances.
