February 6th, 2017 Special Service Campaign Statement: Toyota Avanza 2015
Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, released the following statement:
"In coordination with the UAE Ministry of Economy — Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the directives of the Ministry of Economy, Al-Futtaim Motors announces a special service campaign for the Toyota Avanza, model year 2015, which will begin immediately."
Following communication with Toyota Motor Corporation, we have started a special service campaign on 2459 Toyota Avanza MY 2015 in the UAE.
In the subject vehicles, there is a possibility that the inlet hose that connects the fuel tank to the filler pipe, may deteriorate faster than normal due to environmental factors. Over time, this may lead to a crack in the filler pipe which could result in a fuel leak.
In the interests of delivering the highest standards of Toyota quality and customer care, Al-Futtaim Motors has begun contacting customers with affected models to inform them about the situation and arrange service bookings accordingly.
