Recall for 2016 Volkswagen Golf and Tiguan models
In coordination with the UAE Ministry of Economy-Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the directives of the Ministry of Economy, Volkswagen AG has announced a Service Campaign for Golf and Tiguan vehicles produced between 25.11.2015 and 14.04.2016 will begin Immediately.
Al Nabooda Automobiles and Ali & Sons Motors Co. L.L.0 the exclusive distributors of Volkswagen In the United Arab Emirates, released the following statement
"Volkswagen AG has determined that on a very small number of Golf and Tiguan vehicles it is possible that the operating lever for the child safety lock can be defective. This is due to a fault in the molding of the plastic operating lever. All affected vehicles will require examination and repair where necessary. All repairs for this Issue will be free of charge.
In Dubai and the Northern Emirates there are a total of 90 affected vehicles, and In Abu Dhabi and Al Ain there are 115 vehicles.
In the Interests of delivering the highest standards of Volkswagen quality and customer care, Al Nabooda Automobiles (Dubai and Northern Emirates) and Ali & Sons Motors Co. L.L.C (Abu Dhabi and Al Ain) will begin contacting customers with affected models.
