As the weather begin to change for good, this might be the last night drive to enjoy this year, as now in night weather has become very pleasant with cool breeze. Time to enjoy chilled out desert drive in our much loved Mahafiz sandbox till the morning. If time permit and convoy response are favorable, we might continue play in morning at monster dunes after fossil rock area, if not we will end and exit. This area offers a great mix of playable dunes and medium dunes to test your night driving skills. Depending on convoy strength and liking will plan the route to fit everyone's taste and capabilities. Offroad lights are recommended for a night drive, but if you don't have you can still safely drive with your HIGH BEAM. When: 08 Aug 2019, Thursday Meeting time: 11 PM, the convoy will move at sharp 11:15 PM - "NO EXCEPTIONS" Where: ADNOC at Sharjah - Kalba Road GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/CjXEpdPqn3NZ7Y8j7 Level: Newbie, Fewbie & Above (NO ABSOLUTE NEWBIE PLEASE) Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance. After the last week Fewbie+ to Intermediate level, it's time to have a chilled out and relaxing desert drive in this hot and humid summer. This time we are changing the area to a different route to start from end of Awir and reach the Mahafiz area through desert. You got it right, that we will start from Dubai and end in Sharjah from a desert route enjoying all the dunes on our way. This area is filled with very broad dunes that are easy to climb and exit, perfect for any newbie to get the hang of desert driving with a pinch of dune bashing. If the convoy response is good we will play in the nearby area at a fewbie level to push the spirit and fun few notches, nothing extreme. Offroad lights are recommended for a night drive, but if you don't have you can still safely drive with your HIGH BEAM. When: 11 July 2019, Thursday Meeting time: 10 PM, the convoy will move at sharp 10:15 PM - "NO EXCEPTIONS" Where: ADNOC at Sharjah - Kalba Road GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/CjXEpdPqn3NZ7Y8j7 Level: Newbie, Fewbie & Above (NO ABSOLUTE NEWBIE PLEASE) Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance. Apologies for delay and posting drive on short notice. After last intermediate drive limited interest, I think we should continue newbie/fewbie drives until the intermediate drivers are back in their form. This week we plan to explore our lovely Mahafiz dunes, that offers great mix of newbies and fewbie level on continuous rolling medium sized dunes. If time permit and convoy response are favorable, we might go on top of fossil rock and lay our spread. This area offers a great mix of playable dunes and medium dunes to test your night driving skills. Depending on convoy strength and liking will plan the route to fit everyone's taste. As the summer heat is in full form, our night drive is the only escape to enjoy the good breeze and pleasant weather in the desert (fingers crossed). This time we are heading to our much-loved sandbox of Pink Rock in Tawi Nazwa area. If time permit and convoy response are favorable, we might continue to Bidayer, if not then we will end at 2nd Dec cafeteria for easy exit. At Iftar Bowl - Once in a year all UAE Offroaders gathering This unique opportunity is not be missed, whether you are a current or ex offroader. It's a very rare and special sight to witness thousands of offroaders joining in one place for breaking there fast to celebrate the unity in diversity in the UAE. It's being held with unsaid coordination with all off-road clubs and approx 1000 car shows up every year in Iftar bowl area near Rafadah in Area 53. Whether you are fasting or not, it's a must drive to attend to watch the union of off-roaders and witness the love and respect that everyone shares in this small world of offroading. I have never failed to attend a single Grand Iftar Drive in the past 12 years and always enjoyed meeting some of my old off-road friends and making new friends. The plan is to enter from Rifadah side with the easiest track to reach Iftar bowl and secure a good spot - FIRST. Meet and greet, play at Iftar bowl - then break the fast and head for the night drive or exit if you like. When: 17 May 2019, Friday Meeting time: 5 PM, the convoy will move sharply at 5:15 PM Where: Rifadah Entrance GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/BoTQvikrc1rheWYu7 Level of drive: Absolute Newbie - Newbie - Fewbie - Expert - Advance - All are welcome Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance What to bring along: Evening snacks, food for Iftar - whatever you like with little extra to share Approximate finish time: 8 PM or 11 PM Please RSVP on the below calendar:

Welcoming night drives is always fun to enjoy the desert at night, which is one of the most amazing experience. You can enjoy the silence, cloud full of stars, escape the heat, enjoy the breeze and sometimes even fog. As it's a first night drive, so we will start a little easy and then gradually bump up the pace and level, so that everyone can get hang of it and enjoy safely. We will start from Bidayer and play around the big red first from all sides and then head towards the Pink rock and play all the way on all peak dunes. Will end the drive at Pink Rock and lay our spread for suhoor with the newbie and fewbie convoy. Anyone who wishes to leave early can do so by 4 AM, as we reach to Pink Rock near 2nd Dec Cafeteria exit. When: 9 May 2019, Thursday Meeting time: 11:00 PM, the convoy will move sharply at 11:15 PM Where: Big Red Entrance at Bidayer GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/PUQeQ7CXejfeQsJa7 Level of drive: Intermediate and above Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance. As per the recent interest from a lot of Fewbies, who want to see what lies in the intermediate level, so joining this fewbie+ level drive will give you a perfect opportunity to enjoy "almost" intermediate level drive that will be paced according to the convoy response. Area 53 is the most versatile area in the UAE offroading scene, that offers beautiful tall rolling dunes with plenty of opportunities for side slopping, ridge cutting, and long hill climbs. We may promote few fewbie drivers to Intermediate level after this drive, if there driving skills are at par to match the pace. Promotions based on driving skill set is just the "one aspect" of the grading structure, they also need to follow other points: Level of drive: Fewbie+ and above When: 29 March 2019 Meeting time: 1:00 PM, the convoy will move sharp at 1:15 PM after the Friday prayers Where: Badayer Shops at Nazwa, before Madam R/A GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/GMrTGmx4J5L2 Plan: Afternoon drive through the Pyramids - Area 53 - Iftar bowl - Super Bowl (maybe) What to bring along: Evening snacks - whatever you like with little extra to share, water, liquids, smiles, stories, and enthusiasm.
