Thanks for coming out last night everyone. It was a nice chill drive except for that beetle trying to get into my boot. We turned the pace up a notch and had some very nice sand splashing action. Everyone drove at a high pace with authority over the dunes. Also big thanks for winching my car off the crest. I'm sure I would have self recovered in a few more seconds.... 😎 See you all again soon @Piotr. @Hani crest king @ChrisW

It's been absolut pleasure seeing and driving with you all. It's indeed a terrain that test and refine all our skills and you all did great specially how we all as a family looked out for each other! Great to meet and driving with you @Jerome for the first time. @Frans M, thanks for the great support and taking the 2nd lead duties. I can only imagine how challenging it was driving behind me in this terrain and having to make last minute changes to smoothen up the line for the rest of the convoy. We all had someone who's been reassuring at back, making sure we are all together and giving support whenever is needed. Thanks @Beide Worku! Definitely night drive comes with it's challenges, I can't agree more with @Enrico - Mountain, keeping the convoy flow, momentum and adequate distances at different sections are key. I look forward to seeing you all again on the sand soon!

Thanks @_luke_ for bringing back night drives. The weather (and night sky) was amazing and driving with open windows was great until I got hit by a large blast of sand 🫣, but even that was fun. @ChrisW it was good to see you and thanks for keeping an eye for us from the back. @Hani crest king was a pleasure to drive with you and your friend. See you at the next drive.

A bit sleepy the day after but totally worth it! Thanks again @Sam Selim
  8. Amazing how I was able to pull @Hartzel up and over the dune. 😆shhh, fiction is always better than the truth.

Thank you @Sam Selim for arranging this drive, although a daunting one, I was surprised by how well I was able to manage the challenges. Nighttime does bring a different element, especially at FB+ level where momentum has to be kept for longer stretches in climbing dunes. Although I have some extra lighting, I may need to get some more as blind dark spots come up fast, especially when you have to turn quickly and do cross-over cresting. Keeping the right amount of distance is a fine skill and it does make a difference knowing not only the momentum needs of your car, but those in front and behind you as well, as often the actions you take affects others and the flow of the convoy. Still, lots to learn but enjoying it immensely.

Thanks @_luke_ - we managed to smash around most of Fayah’s better dunes, and the stop for coffee was perfect. Was great seeing you @Piotr. and @Hani crest king, was good chat over drinks.

Hi @Sam Selim; besides being a popular Desert strech with all this cross tracks, Al Badayer is awesome and the drive was epic. Thank you again organizing it. I made it home at 1am 😁

    LC 300 Flag mounting

Hi @Looper, Can get the mount fabricated from any offroad garages and get the flag from dragon mart. Mounts from dragon mart would be only suction ones. Permanent solution would be to get a bracket on stock bolts something like this. But the question coming from you with mount brackets all across the jeep I doubt if I've interpreted the question correctly 🤔
  15. I am looking to get some ideas on flag mounting options for a LC 300. I am advised to go to Dragon mart get something cheep, anyway it’s going to be temporary for now. But has anyone have a long term solution for me for later?
  16. Hi Fred, A friend in Ireland said the same thing to me. People these days have short attention spans. Personally, I like books. I can check the index and go to what I need to know. But I totally agree with what you are saying. I do like your idea. Way back in the early days there was a technical article section on Carnity where I used to write about topics like how to diagnose faults on your own vehicle. No idea what happened to it. I’m open to doing something like that again if you’re interested but this time maybe concentrate more on the 4x4 side of things. Hit me up and we can discuss further. Zubail, thank you for your kind words. I have spent my whole life working on cars. People taught me, now it my turn to pass it on.
