  2. Hi Emanuel, All… Unfortunately something has come up this weekend and I won’t be able to join this time. I’m looking forward to joining future drives very soon. Thank you and apologies for the late cancellation, it’s unavoidable I’m afraid. Richard.

  4. Good morning everyone. Hope you are all excited for our drive tomorrow morning. I'll be posting the convoy order later today. @Richard Jowett and @Maneesh Madayan kindly respond to the message above. I require confirmation you have all the mandatory gear and it would be good to introduce yourself to the other drivers here for your first drive with Carnity.

  9. @Richard Jowett, @Covaalen Virasami, @Maneesh Madayan, and @jamil abdollah Good morning and a warm welcome to the Carnity Offroad Club. Looking forward to meeting each of you Saturday morning. Please introduce yourself to your fellow drivers and mention your Vehicle Make, Model, Color, and Year. Also, mention if you have any prior off-road experience? I'll need confirmation that your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks / recovery points, you have a tire deflator, pressure gauge, compressor, programmable radio and safety flag. These are mandatory. Finally, please ensure you watch the Newbie Video Briefing before the drive. It will explain a number of things for your first drive with us and there will be a short quiz Saturday morning on it.

  11. Wish I was there with you guys! My car wasn't ready yet so had to pull my name off the list.
  12. Drive Summary. After a few months away, this was my first drive back after the crash — and it felt very good to be back behind the wheel and in the dunes again. The original plan was a nice, easy Fewbie night drive. Nothing too ambitious, just a chance to get back into the rhythm of desert driving. That plan lasted until we reached the long-range dunes, where we decided to turn things up a notch. From there, it was ridge riding non-stop. We found some fantastic long ridges and managed to keep the convoy moving with very few interruptions. As @Asif Hussain put it, we had “amazing flow — smooth as butter.” It was one of those drives where everything just seemed to come together. The night also delivered plenty of desert wildlife. Along the way we spotted mice, rabbits and several scorpions, adding a bit of nighttime wildlife watching between the ridges. By the end of the drive we'd covered around 40 km in 2 hours 30 minutes, which gives a pretty good indication of just how well the convoy was flowing. We finished with a relaxed 20-minute chat over iced lattes and popcorn — not a bad way to wrap up my first drive back. A drive that was supposed to be an easy return to the sand ended up being considerably more energetic than planned, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Great ridges, great flow, great company — and very good to be back. Thanks @Asif Hussain and @Giacomo for the excellent drive, let's do it again soon!
  13. @luke all set to go! It’s my first drive following you, I’m very excited to see you as our leader today. See you at 8PM
  14. Hi @Asif Hussain & @Giacomo Hope you are looking forward to an easy paced night drive tonight. Should be a very nice looking cresent moon hanging above us to enjoy whilst exploring Fayah. @JC_E might join us as well. I was out there last night and the temps are dropping to a nice level by the time we expect to finish, which will be perfect for a quick coffee or tea break. See you there tonight!
  15. Hi @Asif Ahamed. Same issue noted with you being added to the Manage tab rather than the Going tab on the RSVP. I've removed you from that and added you to Going. We'll look at this on Saturday.
