  1. The Tahoe is Chevrolet’s full-size SUV, which entered its third generation in 2007. The current generation Tahoe incorporates traditional SUV styling in a modern package. The Chevrolet family look is maintained upfront thanks to the twin horizontal grilles which are split by a big Chevy bowtie badge and flanked by large, square headlamps. The overall design is fuss free with minimum crease lines, giving the big Tahoe a butch yet clutter free look. The Tahoe is available in four trim versions; LS, LT1, LT2 and LTZ. All variants are powered by a 365bhp 5.3-litre V8 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with four-wheel drive. This transmission replaced the old four-speed automatic gearbox in 2009.The engine is said to be powerful enough to deal with most on-road and off-road excursions. Moreover the SUV’s high ground clearance and off-road oriented features like lockable rear differentials, multilink coil spring rear suspension have earned it respectable off-road credentials. There is even a Z71 off-road package available (standard on the LT2), which includes off-road suspension, automatic locking rear differential, Z71-specific exterior appearance, flared wheel arches, skid plate, high-capacity air cleaner and a special dashboard and interior trim. The Tahoe’s interior is cavernous and features three rows seating capable of accommodating seven adults. Like the simple exterior design the interior too is basic though some may find it a bit low rent, especially on the lower trim versions. The LTZ however features many premium features and a more upmarket interior. The LTZ comes fully loaded with tri-zone climate control, second row audio and climate controls, rear seat DVD entertainment system, powered liftgate, rear parking assist, remote starter, leather seats, heated and cooled front seats with power adjust, Bose audio system and 20-inch alloy wheels. 2. The Traverse is a relatively new addition to Chevrolet’s product line and was introduced only in 2009. The crossover SUV fills the gap created by the departure of the Chevrolet TrailBlazer, but unlike the latter the Traverse has improved people carrying ability thanks to its long length and ample three row seating. The Traverse wears a contemporary crossover silhouette which is uncluttered yet classy. The fascia has the new Chevrolet look thanks to the twin-port grille with a central slat carrying the Chevy bow tie. The interior too carries over the understated look of the exterior. The Traverse scores in terms of interior comfort and equipment, which is generous depending on the trim version chosen. Available in four trim options – LS, LT1, LT2 and LTZ – the Traverse can be had with a multitude of luxury features including leather seats and steering, second row captain’s seats, heated and cooled front seats, powered driver’s seat and rear audio control, as well as tri-zone climate control and a dual sunroof. A set of 20-inch alloy wheels, powered liftgate, remote start and rear parking sensors are also available. The Traverse is available in seven or eight-seater configuration. Powered by a direct-injection 3.6-litre V6 engine producing 313bhp, the two–tonne-plus crossover is no slouch. It has been recorded doing the 0 to 100kph sprint in less than nine seconds. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, which transmits power to either the front-wheels (FWD) or all wheels (AWD) depending on the configuration. The 2010 Chevrolet Traverse is also one of the safest vehicles in its class and comes with front airbags, side airbags for the front seat, and side curtain airbags that help protect all three rows of seats as standard. 3. The Chevrolet Aveo is a global car produced by GM Daewoo and is based on the Daewoo Kalos platform. In the Middle East the car is sold as the Aveo sedan and the Aveo5 five-door hatchback. Both models are aimed at the budget car buyer looking for a basic yet comfortable city runabout at an attractive price. The Aveo competes with the likes of the Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris, Nissan Tiida, Suzuki Swift, and the Hyundai Getz. A much-improved next-generation Aveo is expected to launch internationally by the end of 2010 as the 2011 model. This new car will be based on the futuristic Aveo RS concept and will feature a bold new design along with improved performance and comfort. Amongst the current Aveo range the hatchback looks sportier than the sedate sedan, primarily because of its twin-port grille and peeled back headlamps. The sedan however offers better rear seat comfort and more luggage-carrying capability. Both the sedan and hatchback are powered by a 1.4-litre engine with 93bhp, mated to either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission. Considering the car’s weight this small capacity engine affords the Aveo only basic performance. The interiors are well built and feature decent quality plastics and supportive seats. Available in three trim versions – standard, LS and LT – the Aveo comes packed with decent amount of equipment especially on the top model. The LT comes with 14-inch alloy wheels, power mirrors, MP3/CD audio system, power windows & locks, keyless entry, dual front airbags and ABS. SOURCE: http://automiddleeast.com/2010-chevrolet-aveo/
