  1. Agree with JC_E, any Autopro at ENOC can check both within 5-10 minutes of testing. Not only VW, but I rem seeing so many unusual faults with Porsche, Range Rover and Ford when battery isn't healthy.
  2. I recently encountered weird behavior in my wife's Trailblazer, from the check engine light to the car not cranking. First doubt, change the battery as it was 4 months old and in warranty. A week later same issue, so I opened both terminals and cleaned with sandpaper for firm contact and that resolved the issue, so far. I agree with Fredy, make sure that the battery, terminals and grounding are 100% firm, then only dig deeper after that.

  4. I recall seeing this Tank 500 earlier this year in showroom. With numbers it seems impressive to get 300+ hp from 2 liter engine (if its real or gimmick), but huge size like Land Cruiser and Patrol should also justify based on power-to-weight ratio for real life off-roading. I agree with Fredy, desert driving course will be best place to test its true potential with complete safety and by pushing it to its limit in a controlled manner. Share the weight, hp, and torque of your specific model.

  8. And once you do what Fredy mentioned, you will have enough clarity to buy parts from Dodge and then googling the best (def not cheap) Dodge workshop with tons of Google reviews or solid recommendations and ask them to replace those parts. However, in some cars heater core is buried deep inside the engine bay next to the firewall, so replacing it would be a tedious job and hence, outside independent Dodge specialists also cost more, but I am sure it will be a lot less than Trading Enterprises.

  13. Appreciate some more details like year model, engine trim etc. Plus slightly zoomed out pic to see if hose originate from engine oil pan or gearbox oil pan. In my 1999 Pajero, I have engine oil cooler and very similar hose is carrying engine oil from sump to cooler and return. If you can run your VIN number in megazip, then you can check each part with diagram and code number to order from habtoor.
  14. It was truly heartwarming to read every word you wrote. Your ability to recall each moment with such clarity and detail is nothing short of extraordinary, clearly a reflection of both your sharp memory and your deep connection to the experiences we've shared. To be honest, that day I drove your JGC with the radiator broken, I genuinely thought it might be the last time we'd cross paths in the desert. But when you returned, this time in your Xterra, I knew, without a doubt, that you were hooked for life. The sand had claimed you, as it does with the best of us. Over the years, we’ve come to recognize a simple yet powerful "sand metric" out here: if someone walks away after their first serious setback, chances are, they’re gone for good. But the ones who return, who rise from the dust after the hit, those are the ones who never leave the sand behind. And you, Doc, are a textbook case of the latter. It’s always a pleasure to see you and share a convoy with you. Your composed presence, crystal-clear communication, and natural leadership make every drive smoother and every challenge more enjoyable. You lead not just with direction, but with calm confidence and that makes all the difference. Looking forward to many more unforgettable drives together.
  15. Btw, it's no longer proprietary tech as I have seen this in the new defender in more than 5 Masterclasses.
  16. When speed drops below 6 km, rear gets locked for equal power split on left & right tires. I recall seeing this on very old chevy YT video, where they were bragging about this in an off-road test. You must have already felt this in action in your off-road drives. In some dunes while climbing when you leave the gas early and push the gas again when the car slows down and still able to cross the dune without getting stuck. This is only possible with LSD or Chevy proprietary tech of fully locking rear diff below 6 km.

  22. Congratulations to @Luke K P, @Emanuel and @Ishak You’ve not only completed all three Leaders Lead sessions but you've excelled through every stage with remarkable strength, consistency, and focus. This is a big achievement. It reflects a high level of skill, endurance, and mental toughness that very few possess. Desert leadership is anything but easy — it challenges your instincts, demands precise decision-making, and tests your patience and adaptability in real time. What seemed straightforward on the surface has now revealed its true depth, and you have risen above every challenge with distinction. You've proven yourselves to be true desert leaders, demonstrating that leadership isn't just about driving — it's about guiding, adapting, and inspiring under pressure. Congratulations on your outstanding journey and achievement — your growth as desert leaders is well-earned and well-respected.
  23. Nope, they aren't discouraged. If you have them, you can use all of the off-road lights during nighttime driving, which helps you drive better. But if you don't have, then stock high beam is enough as well.
  24. @Herman G Stock high beams are fine and safe to follow the car in front.
  25. Leading in the desert is one of the most rewarding off-road experiences — blending raw adventure, strategic decision-making, and real-time teamwork in a dynamic and unforgiving environment. In the Leaders Lead – Third & Final Session, you’ll put everything you've learned into action. After mastering convoy management and GPS navigation, this final challenge pushes you to apply your leadership skills in one of the most technical and demanding desert terrains in the UAE. This advanced session is designed to test your capabilities across three critical areas: Mastering Technical Dunes: You'll be leading through intense, no-go-level terrain, where every crest, bowl, and drop demands precise control, route planning, and advanced sand reading skills. This module focuses on driving judgment and maintaining convoy rhythm through the harshest dune structures. Adaptive Leadership Based on Convoy Performance: Learn how to dynamically adjust the drive level in real-time — scaling up when the team is confident and scaling down to ensure safety when needed. This teaches you to interpret convoy energy, driving skills, and situational readiness without compromising the drive’s flow. Commanding Complex Recoveries: You'll face high-risk recovery simulations that test your ability to assess, lead, and execute under pressure. From stuck vehicles in side slopes to near rollovers, you'll learn how to orchestrate safe and efficient solutions using the right tools, communication, and leadership composure. Drive Details Level: Selective Advisors - @Ishak @Emanuel & @Luke K P When: 14 June 2023, Saturday Meeting time: 7:00 AM, (Sharp, without any exceptions) Meeting Point: Al Lisaili - https://goo.gl/maps/UDzJ7FKT2Aq5HcyFA Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.
