Dear Carnity Family, From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank each and every one of you for being in this drive, in spirit and in person. Your presence, your kindness, and your support has meant more than words can truly express. Carnity was not just a community to Gaurav it was his life’s work, his passion, and his dream. He envisioned a space where people didn’t just come together for the love of sand and cars, but for something much deeper, the love and care for one another. A place where friendships were built, where empathy and enthusiasm thrived, and where joy was shared freely. Carnity was born out of desire to bring people together and to make a difference in their lives. That spirit of love and connection will always remain at its core. A very special thank you to Freddie and Sri for organizing this drive and for being a rock in this difficult time Thank you to each and every carnity family once again, for standing by him and for surrounding him with so much love. It brought him immense comfort and happiness. With heartfelt gratitude, Soni and family

What a drive report. Seriously awesome. 120 drives completed, 20 drives led @Emanuel, massive congratulations on officially leading your first Newbie drive! Reading through your recap, it’s clear you completely nailed the mindset and execution required for this level. Stepping into a Newbie lead role takes a very different kind of focus, and you handled the transition perfectly. This is not just another drive ticked off. Leading Newbies is the highest responsibility compared to leading any other level. It demands a higher level of awareness, cleaner decision-making, more patience, and the ability to stay composed while managing multiple first-time drivers who are still building confidence. Rerouting around the longitudinal dunes when you saw newer drivers struggling, finding a cleaner line toward the sabkha, keeping the pace enjoyable for the Fewbies while still giving Newbies a chance to build, that's exactly the kind of in-the-moment leadership that separates a good lead from a great one. You didn't just follow a plan, you read the group and adapted to make it safe and entertaining for all. From what we’ve seen, you handled this transition well. Taking a group of Newbies through the desert safely, keeping the convoy stable, and maintaining momentum without overcomplicating things is exactly what good Newbie leading is all about. It’s not about showing capability, it’s about creating confidence in others, and that’s where real desert leadership (Aspiring arbab - in your language) begins. Well done. Looking fwd to seeing the White Rhino leading many more fresh faces into the dunes!

Thanks for sharing the links, really appreciate it. The Insta360 videos don’t seem to load properly on browser (likely due to file size), so it would be great if you could share the original .insv files or exported clips via cloud. Sorry to hear this, @khurramm From what I understand, there’s no accident involved here, so no accident report will be issued and insurance is unlikely to cover it. Warranty typically won’t cover this either, even on a new car. US-spec side airbags in off-road conditions are a known grey area and can end up being an expensive issue for the owner. Since the airbags have deployed now, once everything is sorted, it’s worth checking with an RTA passing center whether the vehicle is allowed to be driven without the side airbags. For dune driving, reinstating such an oversensitive system may not be practical. With the main frontal airbags intact, you should still have baseline safety. When you check with RTA, try to get their confirmation in writing. That way, you’re not relying on inconsistent verbal guidance.

We’ve just experienced one of the finest and rarest off-road drives in years, where everything came together perfectly. The weather alone was unreal for March. A cool 25°C, fully overcast skies, and not a hint of harsh sun. What followed made it even more memorable. Drizzle, rolling thunder, sudden sandstorms, and heavy rain bursts hitting together, almost like a brief cloudburst sweeping across the desert. Dramatic, slightly intimidating, yet incredibly exciting. But what truly elevated this drive wasn’t just the conditions, it was the people. An outstanding group of newbies who stayed composed, focused, and eager to learn. Strong and patient support from Fewbie and above members who kept the convoy stable throughout. A highly capable support team that ensured everything ran smoothly despite the challenging visibility, terrain, and even the final stubborn pop-out. A special mention to our new Newbie Lead, @Emanuel, who delivered an exceptional performance. Navigating through low visibility, rain, and shifting sand with confidence, consistently picking clean, safe, and well-judged lines. This was not just a drive. It was one of those rare days where weather, terrain, and team synergy aligned perfectly to create something truly memorable. Thank you all for showing up with such great spirit and patience. I’ve uploaded my images to the gallery and look forward to seeing yours. https://carnity.com/gallery/category/2538-newbie-pink-rock-sharjah-21-mar-2026/
