Welcome to Grand Iftar Drive - It's once in a year opportunity for all off-roaders in UAE to meet and sit in one place to enjoy Grand Iftar together. It's being held in coordination with most off-road clubs and approx. 400-500 off-road cars show up every year. Whether you are fasting or not, it's a must to attend to watch the union of off-roaders and witness the love and respect that everyone shares in this small world of off-roading in UAE. Please feel free to join us with your friends and family with your Iftari & a little extra to share with others. Please do not litter as it kills beautiful wildlife, so please carry enough garbage liners to pack the trash. Drive Details Level: ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME When: 2 April 2023, Sunday Meeting time: 5:30 PM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://goo.gl/maps/3zBbCKDhDnE3Hygd6 Gathering Venue: https://goo.gl/maps/aMni2oVeVhCydVwt8 (24°47'50.5"N - 55°23'52.6"E) Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. Squeaking leaves springs : a solution
Gaurav replied to Emmanuel's topic in Nissan Xterra Forum in UAE
And then ppl say that leaf springs are made to take a lot of load than coil springs. -
Hi @AlexM we do not allow sharing of business details in forums to deter spam. You can leave your mobile number here to get personal messages from other Abu Dhabi Jeep/4x4 owners, who wish to help recommend you a good garage. I am tagging a few AD members who might reach you on WA. @Asif Hussain @Zed @Mus_hus78

As u explained now with more details, it still seems like an unbalanced tire or when sand goes in any tire and makes them unbalanced. I know you've changed tires, but have you seen 0 and 0 on both sides of each tire while balancing with your eyes? If not, get all wheels balanced again and stand next to the machine and see every tire reach 0 and 0 with your eyes. If you've seen the 0 and 0 with your eyes, then do a straight rotation of the front and rear tires, if vibration comes from the front now, surely one of the two wheels is bent or cracked. If still noise comes from the back, then I would seek a professional mechanic to diagnose than just throwing parts randomly.

FJ Cruiser Recovery Points & Tow Hitch
Gaurav replied to Patrick's topic in Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum in UAE
Yes they are enough, If you know how to recover and safely execute from soft, medium and hard tugs. No, they aren't safe, if you don't know how to recover. Sadly, 90% off-roaders know the brute force alone, which breaks the stuff and bones. Seen many professionally employed rated experts ripping the heavy-duty rated tow points. -
It seems google maps are still not recognizing the last roundabout, so take a U-Turn from last roundabout instead of taking a right which will take you all the way to Solar Park for U-Turn. @Juan R @fareed khuraishi @Mohit Gurnani @Jeevan Koshy @essam ibrahim @Ale @Melenany @Xavi Moyano @Maheshwar C.S. @sohinik @Sammy Six @Goh KP

You might need to remove/relocate these if in summer your Pajero gets hot on a higher level of drive. -
Semi-decent off-road night light advise needed
Gaurav replied to Imran Asghar's topic in Offroad Mods / DIY
I am using the Toby brand night lightbar from DM for a quarter of the price of branded names, the only drawback I can highlight is that light lumens intensities deplete pretty fast. You need to change every 2-3 years if you really want to see far. The bright side is that these cheaper brands bring hi-tech very fast, so my current version has 2 setups mixed in one, flood on the right and left (50-100-meter range) and a lazer spot in the center (400 - 500 meter range). This version spot is based on some new tech, so it really makes a laser-sharp rectangle on any dune, which I have never seen before. This was a little irritating in beginning, but when my eyes adapted to its functionality, I started liking it. -
du vs Etisalat Network for Remote Offroading
Gaurav replied to Patrick's topic in General Discussions
Etisalat used to be the best one, but now all providers accessing Etisalat infrastructure more and more so they all are in a similar coverage spectrum. However in the remotest of locations, I have seen if you climb a dune or go across a mountain that is not obscure from all sides, you will have signals. I am using Etisalat for a long time and never had a signal issue after 5 min of effort in obscure locations. -
