  1. Xterra is most capable offroad for regular offroad purposes Then comes Pathfinder, but with too much plastic its expensive to break bits and bobs in desert. Then comes Armada, huge and heavy as boat not recommended for regular offroad due to its size and weight issue that will get you stranded on crest. Last is Titan, as its even more heavier than Armada and hardly have offroad grunt to survive in Dubai desert. You missed the best Nissan offroader: Patrol. Current one is too expensive to go offroad, but prior to 2010 model is the best ride for Desert in whole middle east region. People swear by it.
  2. Batteries can worn off due to quality issue. Or due to fluctuation in alternator which charges the battery. Get your alternator volt checked going to battery to make sure that alternator isnt overcharging, thats a main killer to ruin any battery.
  3. 2011 onwards yes, its same engine but before 2010 its 4.8 vtec in Patrol and 5.6 in Armada.
  4. O2 sensor is near air filter assembly, and should be easy to change with few spanner and sprockets. Buy the original one as this O2 sensor is pretty important driver in fuel economy and car idling system.
  5. Bash plate in front covering radiator and protecting it from down. As pathfinder have lot of plastic and front nose goes down and bash lot of time in desert. My friend broke same and made back home on recovery truck. Unless you drive older pathfinder before 2006 then its different story.
  6. Squeaking is usually from suspension system, get it check if they need change. If squeaking comes while braking then that's an indication (sometimes) that your car needs new brake pad.
  7. Take it to any body shop garage like technical garage in al quoz or Dynatrade or Autozone in rashidiya and they can repair it. Agency always fuss on these things, as they cant charge you million dollars over small repairs, so they simply refuse it.
  8. Buy the original part from Divya auto parts (06 5326782) in less than one third and get it fitted by same people behind there shop. Its not a big techy job, shouldnt take more than 1 hr to fix.
  9. In GCC specs i havent seen 60:40 split, try in shj scrap as i have seen one in Japanese import last year.
  10. It has a silent timing chain. That can last over 250k kms easily unlike timing belt which need change every 80k km.
  11. Have you got the quote from Shj BMW road Nissan spare parts shops???? They sell same original parts in 50% discount, Im not kidding. Call Divya 06 5326782 and give your Patrol VIN number and ask for diff lock price. Best of luck with your drive. Post some pictures of your ride here.
  12. Both are crap. Go for Yokohama Geolander or Michelin Latitude or Cooper HT.
  13. Check the engine foundation, it might be broken.
  14. First things first: Welding bull bar will not void warranty. Check with dealer im 100% sure. Second: Don't get bull bar as then passing with RTA will be big drama and you have to remove that bull bar on every passing. RTA gives crap of increasing damage of other car if you make accident. Third: You can have custom bull bar points fabricated on under-body behind front bumper reinforcement and bolt the bumper on them. This sort of custom fabrication you can get it done on any turning shop in Sharjah for less than 100 dhs. If you are getting bull bar for saving impact from off-road drive, then look into lifting the car by two inches by which you also have better ground clearance which will avoid you getting stuck on sharp crest and soft sand.
  15. You can get plenty of options at Ramy Trading in Deira. One of the best but expensive place to shop.

  17. Every car have different service manual, which tells you that on how many km you have to change / inspect what all parts or area. Either google that, or get one from dealer. Following that you can get service your car from outside with all things as mentioned in that service manual.
  18. knock sensors, ignition coil and spark plugs should have to be checked.
  19. It is advisable to get it changed from a mechanic as adjusting will be required as well.
  20. I am just wondering how @nimalp: leak in radiator effect air pockets???????? @Bulbous: how heater will help burping the air pocket. I cant understand that, and never heard that before. Interesting.
  21. Nissan recommends mineral oil, but i would personally prefer synthetic oil. Good brand like Mobil 1, valvoline etc. Double the price but keeps engine very happy at least in this hot country. Regarding hood being hot, do not baby your 350Z; its pretty normal as hood has too much heat and no much space to dissipate so it stay warmer than other part of car while parked. If temp gauge is normal then don't bother much. Keep an eye on temp gauge every now and then in any car you drive. Thats the best rule of thumb.
  22. in a car if you remove something it has to be replaced as at the time maybe the performance seems fine but u are spoiling the engine so get the filter and fix it
  23. When was the last tune-up? Check the coolant temperature sensor maybe its stuck in the open loop and the computer is dumping fuel.
  24. Seems like cooling fan relay is malfunctioning and not disconnecting upon car is switched off. Relay failure is quite uncommon in such a new car, but you never know what quality of products these guys using in new cars for cutting cost. Check relay or any other loose connection at fan itself.
