  1. Till now for me it is worst car i have ever had and also best and full of joy car i have ever had That is why i am not sure should i keep it for years or should i sell it immediately.
  2. First of all little note for admin: I am thinking it will be good if we have place for sharing our cars. So people can fınd place to share their cars. If it will be open please shift this one there I will try to share my story with my 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0. Keeping this story here good for me and also good for people who is having Cherokee or planing to get one. One of my biggest dream was having an old American car. Specially 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 have very good place in my heart. Thats why after i move to UAE i wanted to get a American car. For off roading first i thought about getting 2006-2007 Grand Cherokee but when i read about them i got scared. I checked for Wrangler JK but also for that people saıd dont get 3.8. For 3.6 pentastar prıces was high and i was just moved to country so i didnt wanted to get loan. All this things take me to 2 option Wrangler TJ and Cherokee XJ. With @skumar83 and @shadow79's suggestions i focussed the Cherokee. I got hıs car at first days of November 2017. Me and my mechanic checked many Cherokees and this one was the best. It was off road ready veichle. GCC spec(which is very hard to find). It was belong to a local guy and seemed like he spend alot on it. I only didnt like the full black look(why anyone do this to his car? Even half of head lıghts was black.) and Double din screen inside(Why Whyyyyy? They cut the dash for this stupid thing.) 2 days after deal i met with the owner in Sharjah Tashjeel. He put the car for test and it passed without any problem. I was thinking how they are allowing for this black tail lights? And i got the Jeep. In Sharjah Tashjeel they didnt allowed me to keep the plate. They said i have to get Dubai plate. This was the moment all craziness start. We put the car top of a winch and took it to Dubai Tashjeel. In Dubai we said car is already passed we need to register it. They didnt accept to Sharjah pass and put it to test again and it faild(how the .... it can fail just half hour ago it passed)! For make the car pass i change the tyres with Maxxis Bravo AT, Some parts about back brakes and removed the disgusting black tail lights and stickers. We took it Dubai for passing again. Guess what happend it faild again!(In that moment i was like; What the hell! I got a Jeep and i didnt even drive it for 1km and i am just spending money on it). Now everything was ok except back brakes. We took the car back to Ajman and there are some more parts(i dont remember what it was) changed in back brakes. In the 3rd time finally it passed. I put the Dubai plates and start driving. First thing i noticed how bad brakes a car can have(later on we will come back to that)? In first 5 min i was almost hitting a Corolla. But i was freakking happy. I drive with a big smile on my face. OMG how it can be that much good? That sound from engine, that feeling when you are sitting inside. It was more like 70's car than 2000 model car. After few days That all orange lights i love them. How bad ass it is. I started to join Carnity drives; I am thinking having this car gave me head start in off roading. I was having good ground clearence and good power. I went beautiful places with it and made good friendships because of it. For tonight i am stopping here. There are many things hapen to this car some of them good some of them bad. This story full of pain and happiness, hate and love at the same time. I will share all my story with it. You guys can think it will be like 5 months, 12.000km report.
  3. As some of you know, i am strugling to decide should i keep my Jeep or sell it. If i sell it and get another old car i will still not have a reliable car. So i start thinking about getting brand new Jimny. It is coming with 7 year waranty and service contract option. In the desert i saw many time people doing crazy things with this little monster but i never experienced it myself. If i get manuel one how it will be in the desert? Is it good enough after 4.0 jeep? Is there anyone tried?
  4. This might be a reason. Armada is bigger and luxurious than Pajero. Most probably Armada having better insulation. Generally Japan cars dont have good insulation and they are famous with tire sound.
  5. This is Suzuki Samurai basically same car with the Gypsy. Jimny is the new model of Samurai.
  6. Yesterday i was with @skumar83 and he gave a good idea to me for opening this topic. We can share our stories(good and bad ones) about part suppliers. Lately i had problem with my Fuel Pump. I started to look for prices and i really get confused. There was highly different prices for that part. First i decided to go with original Mopar part. After all searching there was 500 aed difference between best price i got and highest price. I wanted to go with the place who gave the cheapest price but it was a small shop in Sharjah and i afraid maybe it is a duplicate with Mopar sticker on it. Than i decided to go with the Tasra. I checked their website, i saw they have many brands and they look like a big professional company. After that i called them they answered nicely all my questions. The price i got from them was on middle in the price range. So i cant say they were the cheapest. After i purchase the part i saw it was original Mopar and till now it worked great. http://www.etasra.com/
  7. Subaru Impreza GC8 Mazda MX5 First Gen I saw one in Ajman Industrial.
  8. I am missing the hot hatch culture here. Ok there are some available hot hatch but the culture is not there. Most probably because of tight traffic rules. Peugeot 106 GTI (my biggest love) Peugeot 208 GTI(there is only 1.6 auto available in UAE not the manuel THP engine ) Vw Polo GTI Seat Ibiza Cupra There are more and more but if i start the write about what is not available it will take too long.
  9. I had a 206. First my mother bought it in 2006 brand new. In 2010 i got that car from her and i sold it in 2017. I had one issue with fuel pump(in my country it cost 100aed) and one more issue with ac radiator(it cost 140aed) Other than just regular maintenance. But in this country i heard parts are very expensive. If i know i can find the parts very easy and cheap like Turkey i would get one also here.
  10. Warning: Owning, registering, insuring, or driving a Jeep implies knowledge of and intent to abide by the following rules, regulations, and guidelines. Failure to obey the letter or spirit of the rules may result in your being ignored by other Jeep owners as you sit along the side of the road next to your stalled vehicle in a blizzard surrounded by toyotas, Nissans, and Hyundais. As i see Jeep wave is not popular in UAE. If i am seeing any other Jeep specially another Cherokee XJ i am giving wave or honk to say hi. Seems like most of people dont know the rules. I can understand if a brand new Grand Cherokee owner may not know about the rules(because for most of them this is just a SUV) but i think Wrangler and Cherokee XJ owners should know. For explaining the rules i want to write something. For the wave one of the important thing is hierarchy. You should know what is the point of your Jeep. Lower point will wave first the higher point Jeep. For this one; Model year of your Jeep Is your Jeep stock daily or Off Road monster Is your Jeep classic or nostalgic model These are effecting your point. For calculating your point please find the link below; Jeep Wave Calculator For better explanation please watch the video below. Jeep Wave
