A total of 866 vehicles are affected in Dubai/Northern Emirates and 802 vehicles In Abu Dhabi/Al Aln manufactured between January 2011 and July 2016. No other vehicles are affected. In the interests of delivering the highest standards of Audi quality and customer care, Al Nabooda Automobiles (Dubai and Northern Emirates) and Ali and Sons (Abu Dhabi and Al Aln) will contact all customers with affected models to arrange for repairs to be made. ANNOUNCEMENT Recall Campaign for Suzuki -Vitara 1.6 in UAE In co-ordination with Ministry of Economy - Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an ongoing review of all products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection. Al Rostamani Trading Co sole authorized distributor of Suzuki in UAE announces Recall Campaign for Suzuki Vitara 1.6 (2016 YM) There is a possibility that during the part production the abrasion coefficient modification coating has not been applied on rear axle bolt. The bolt might loosen, come off or get broken, then as a consequence vehicle could become impossible to drive. Decision has been taken jointly with Suzuki Motor Corporation and the Ministry of Economy - Department of Consumer Protection, to launch a Recall Campaign to carry out the inspection of those vehicles affected in the UAE and have it replaced with the modified Part. Al Rostamani Trading Co sole authorized distributor of Suzuki in UAE announces Safety Recall Campaign for Suzuki Swift 1.4 (2013 YM). The fastening force of the bolts that mounts the water pump pulley to the water pump is insufficient, there are the bolts loose and abnormal noise occurs. If the vehicle continues to drive, the bolt might be disengaged, water pump belt comes off, warning light will be lit by poor cooling and power failure. In worst case, there is a possibility that an engine stops and might not be able to restart again. Decision has been taken jointly with Suzuki Motor Corporation and the Ministry of Economy -Department of Consumer Protection, to launch a Safety Recall Campaign to carry out the inspection of those vehicles affected in the UAE and have it replaced with the modified Part. The belt tensioner that drives the engine accessories has an insufficient aspect of construction and it may make the belt pull off from it. The belt pulling off results stopping of electricity generation with warning lamp on and insufficient engine cooling with the water temperature gauge showing high temperature. In the worst case the engine might stop and could not restart.     ANNOUNCEMENT Safety Recall Campaign Statement: Engine Control Module (ECM) software update for certain 2017 model year Maserati vehicles In coordination with the Ministry of Economy - Consumer Protection Department and in line with the commitment of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection, At Tayer Motors, the local importer - dealer of Maserati vehicles in the UAE, and Premier Motors, the official dealer for Maserati vehicles in Abu Dhabi, announce a safety recall campaign for certain 2017 model year Levante S vehicles, manufactured in Italy, to update the ECM software. In the affected vehicles, this software update is necessary to prevent the RPM from reducing, switching the gear from D to N, while approaching to a stop at low speed. A total of 225 vehicles are estimated to be affected in the UAE. In the interest of delivering the highest standards of Maserati quality and customer care, At Tayer Motors/Premier Motors will begin contacting the affected customers to inform them about this recall and request them to bring in their cars for the software update, which will be done free of charge. ANNOUNCEMENT Recall for A-/B-/E-Class and GLA/CLA (176/246/242/213/238/156/117 platform) Model Year 2017 Mix ratio airbag igniters (Extension) In coordination with the Ministry of Economy - Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the keenness of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an ongoing review of all the products in the UAE and provide the customer with the required protection, Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company announce that a recall for A-/B-/E-Class and GLA/CLA (176/246/242/213/238/ 156/117 platform) will begin from 05/05/2017 Daimler AG has determined that on certain A-/B-/E-Class and GLA/CLA vehicles (176/246/242/213/238/156/117 platform) the propellant mix ratio in certain airbag igniters might not meet the specification. Thus, in case of a crash the igniters might not deploy in situations where the passenger frontal airbag, the kneebag or the window airbag is activated. The originally reported batch of igniters was extended by the supplier. Therefore additional vehicles and airbags are now affected. United Arab Emirates, Dubai, 2nd May, 2017: Arabian Automobiles and Al-Masaood Automobiles distributors of Nissan in the UAE, released the following statement: Following communication with NISSAN Middle East, we have started a Recall Campaign affecting 1035 vehicles from MY2014-MY2015 in the UAE. The power steering high pressure hose may come out at the connecting area and the power steering fluid will leak. NISSAN has decided to replace the Power Steering High Pressure Hose on the affected vehicles with a counter-measured one at no cost to the customers. SLC vehicles (172 platform) an error exists within the software of the Electronic stability program (ESP). in case a driver assist system (e. g. adaptive cruise control)initiates an automatic braking mechanism and aborts it again during early stage of brake pressure increase, a low residual pressure could remain in the hydraulic brake system. Thereby the brakes could remain activated slightly and may heat up while further driving. This issue may only occur in a small time slot (<100ms) after initiating automatic braking. If the driver actuates the brake pedal afterwards, the desired brake pressure is raised as intended and reduced completely after the brake pedal has been released. This includes the previously remained residual pressure. ANNOUNCEMENT Recall for E-Class (213 platform) Model Year 2016-2017 Mix ratio rear seat belt pre-tensioner igniters In coordination with the Ministry of Economy -Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the keenness of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an ongoing review of all the products in the UAE and provide the customer with the required protection, Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company announce that a recall for E-Class (2 13 platform) will begin in near future. Concrete dates are still under final clarification. Daimler AG has determined that on certain E-Class vehicles (213 platform) the propellant mix ratio in certain seat belt pre-tensioner igniters might not meet the specification. Thus, in case of a crash the igniters might not deploy in situations where the rear seat belt pre-tensioners on the backseats are activated. The announcement has been aligned jointly with Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company and the Ministry of Economy - Department of Consumer Protection to inform customers about the launch of an inspection of the affected vehicles which are imported in UAE. Any necessary rectification work will be free of charge for the customers.     ANNOUNCEMENT Safety Recall Campaign Statement: Rear driveshaft replacement for certain 2017 Jaguar vehicles In coordination with the Ministry of Economy - Consumer Protection Department and in line with the commitment of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection, Al Tayer Motors, the local importer -dealer of Jaguar vehicles in the UAE, and Premier Motors, the official dealer for Jaguar vehicles in Abu Dhabi, announce a safety recall campaign for certain 2017 model year F-Pace vehicles, manufactured in the United Kingdom, for rear driveshaft replacement. Jaguar Land Rover has identified a concern with certain 2017 Model Year (MY) Jaguar F-PACE vehicles with automatic transmissions, which may have been fitted with the incorrect specification rear driveshaft. Where the vehicle is fitted with an incorrect rear driveshaft, the customer may experience underbody noise and/or notice an oil leak. In extreme cases, the driveshaft may detach from the differential and as a result, the vehicle would lose drive. Sudden loss of drive whilst the vehicle is in motion could increase the risk of a vehicle crash. Only 2 vehicles in the VIN range SADCA2BN6HA054427 to SADCB2BG2HA054570 are estimated to be affected in the UAE. Jaguar Land Rover has identified a concern with certain 2016 Range Rover vehicles in which the front passenger airbag may not function properly due to a deviation in generant mix ratio. In the event of a crash of sufficient severity, the front passenger airbag may not deploy when required. Failure to deploy can lead to increased injuries to the passenger seat occupant. Only 4 vehicles are estimated to be affected in the UAE. L.L.0 the exclusive distributors of Volkswagen in the United Arab Emirates, released the following statement: "Volkswagen AG has determined that on a number of vehicles of a limited production period, it is possible that the ABS/ESC control unit may become thermally overloaded and the earth connection may be interrupted.
