  1. Have to withdraw the driving due to change of schedules, see you next time @Frederic😶
  2. Let me add some woods to the fire😈 1: Nissan Pathfinder R51, a slightly different version of Xterra, same power full engine transmission and platform, this VQ40DE engine is really powerful, and in my opinion the strongest among the V6 rivals (Toyota, Jeep, Pajero, I have driven all of the mentioned brands' NA V6), once you push beyond 3k RPM, the kick is unbeatable. 3 row 7 seaters that can be folded down completely full independent suspension, which allows you drive comfortably onroad, and the handlng is lots better than the ones with either 1 solid axle or both solid axles (All the Toyota options, Xterra, Wrangler), I drive often 130-140kmr on highway. However its around 200 kg heavier 2.1-2.2 tons, which I dont think is much a big issue as you are looking for comfortable and roomy option 2: Toyota Fortuner, the SUV form of the mightly Hillux pickup Extremely durable 4.0 V6 which is also used on pre 2010 LC200, LC120 and FJ. Weight about 1.8-1.9 tons, makes it the lightest body on frame v6 7 seater offroader in my knowledge Optional rear diff locker
  3. I believe for most of the time temp should be between 85 to 92 onroad, 92 to 105 offroad, and I'm using aftermarket radiator which is smaller in volume compare to the larger GCC original radiator. Neither a night onroad nor a ln offroad drive should bring up the temperature to 105, you need to check it up. May be the radiator has rusted and clotted inside which makes coolant circulation inefficient, due to excessive usage of coolant, and this was the reason why I changed my previous original radiator.
  4. It's another enjoyable drive with lots of long side sloping and sharp climbs, I have done nothing but flooring gas on 1st gear, and watching @Islam Soliman 's full size Yukon's performance, A lot learnt and still tons to be learnt on LWB car driving on sand, thank you so much @Islam Soliman. (My Pathfinder R51's WB is 2850mm, same as LC 200, and only 100mm less than the full size Yukon) I hope everyone else has enjoyed the power of their machines as I have. Preciously, more than half of our convoy were the brutal V8s Sad to see @Hardik Modyexiting early but wishing to see you on sand soon, and appreciate if you can share the reason why your coolant temp was spiking up to 120+C. Pathfinder/Xteera might have overheating issue but your case was definitely not one. Thank you @Jeepie so much for supporting the drive, and managing several refusals and stucks! Good to see you again @TT_Dubai after nearly 2 months, hoping for more chances driving alongside with you, Untill next time! PS:this is my first night drive experience 😁
  5. Sad to see you leaving the drive, hope to see you next time Anoop. What is the issue with your gearbox? I am very curious
  6. It's really a good start of fewbie + for me, and wonderful week breaker. Thank you so much @Ale Vallecchi for the drive. I haven't been this focused in a drive for a while already (Maybe because of the 2-3 hrs quality sleep on Thursday night 😎), as a great portion of the drive was challenging my limits. Got stuck twice, thanks to help from @Ashok chaturvedi @Lakshmi Narasimhan and @Chinthaka Ruwan and ofc the guidance from @Ale Vallecchi, I could get back on track. I should have considered more on my car's steering radius before taking the attempts really. I did pray to God for safety specifically to my debut fewbie+ drive, and God has answered surely: I actually had my front left tire flatted out during the second tug given by Lakshmi, after getting back on track, I felt a little bumpy but didnt think the tire would be flat. Untill at the end of the drive when @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil had too much fun on the ridge, I had the chance to stop and immediately @Ashok chaturvedi found out that flat tire. Inflated it up, and the HT tire was all good all the way home, with no visible damage nor bubble. Thank you all the seniors and support team for supporting this drive @Craig Finlayson @GauravSoni @Ranjan Das @Russ, especially @Lakshmi Narasimhan and @Ashok chaturvedi for covering my front and back. didnt hear much from @Sunil Mathew I guess you did better than I did, and nice to see and drive with @Chinthaka Ruwan @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil. See you all soon!
  7. I think this can be sorted by placing something doesn't melt in between. I will wait a bit longer to see if someone tell me big no no before I get a piece of it 😉
  8. Do you think they will provide a different petrol engine than the 2.0 one? Was reading the spec sheet yesterday, it's really interesting
  9. Has anyone ever used the air bag Jack? In my opinion, air bag Jack should be more hàndy in desert: 1. it has larger supporting surface to the ground, and shouldnt sink into the sand. 2. It only needs some air to lift the car, and we all have air pumps, saves our energy Wonder why haven't seen anyone using it? I see most of the air bag jacks are rated with maximum capacity of 3 to 4 tons, and majority of our offroad vehicles are from 1.8 to 2.2 tons. Perhaps only the heavier full size trucks and pick ups should avoid from using it?
  10. Thanks @darren thompson and @Anish S, look forward to more drives with you !
