Ever since I started driving I was super annoyed by my handheld radio swinging left and right and coming out of the cupholders during unfortunate events that occur during sticky situations... so I started digging. Many many many ideas later, I decided that I don't want to have two radios on me at all times (since the rule here is to "take your radio with you"), so it must be something easy to clip in and out... and I finally got it right: If anyone is interested - its creator made it for his JL But suits great on a Pajero's modified radio dashboard... https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6110032

Dear Carnity Offroaders, With the successful growth of the Carnity Offroad club we are now frequently having several convoys driving in the same area. Due to the fact that we were still working on one single frequency, this caused sometimes confusion and interference between convoys. Because of that, we have decided to add 4 new frequencies to our list, and to use the exisiting freqency 462.8875 Mhz only as backup purpose. A comprehensive explanation can be found below, and also shows the frequencies and tutorial on how to program them in your radio. Please familiarize yourself with your radio and try programming the channels at home. If in doubt you can approach us before briefing time so we have time to assist you in setting up your radio.

<<fixed 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ >> pls delete this post I had the channel lock on (Symbol by the battery with a key displayed). removed that by holding down the # key @Frederic @Gaurav I have been using my Baofeng UV-5R since starting with the club (6 rides no issues). testing for tomorrow’s drive my unit is stuck on the channel I last used (2). The buttons when pressed make a sound to show they are functioning however none work? The menu button, a/s band, up-down buttons and all numbers do not seem to work. I have removed the battery and given it some time but still not allowing any keys to work. have you experienced this previous and is there a way to hard reset the device. It’s nice having a second radio so if I can get it working that would be great! @Ale Vallecchi I do have a spare radio so am all good for tomorrow so no troubles there. thanks in advance
