Is it a good idea to buy a used transmission as a replacement for the old transmission which is damaged?

Well you can. But it’s not really a good idea. Before buying a used transmission you need to check the history of the transmission. I mean if the transmission was working fine before and was not being repaired. Buying used parts like transmissions sometimes gives you a big shot on your face as they have breakdown any minute without any warning.

Its never a good option, and trust me with it! The reason why I am saying this is because i once bought the used transmission to get it replaced with the damaged one. And the result was really bad. Because of the used transmssion, it failed all other components of transmission and drive trains.
