Ford Edge a problem car

Purchasing this care was a big mistake. Having driven around 400,000Km in Dubai without once getting stranded due to a bad car I decided to go for ford edge due to looks. Within fist 75000Km of Ford edge Brakes failed-had to be changed, Gear transmission had to be changed, door transmission had to be changed. Sync works at will. Customer care is a no action team.... Extremely disappointing, not a American car at all. Now am scared to take out this vehicle on a long drive.

75k km is extremely long time for brake to be changed, it should be changed every 30k - 40k IMHO. However I kind of agree that Ford Edge build quality is not like true American cars. Have you been maintaining with dealer or outside?

Not exactly break changes depend on usage, in my CRV I changed breaks only twice and in my accord I have driven over 60K without a singe problem. For maintenance I always go to the dealer only, the amount of driving I do just cannot take chances with outside people.
