Saleem Posted March 8, 2016 Share Posted March 8, 2016 Hi Adil The EURO standard was integrated to include braking distance and maintenance and technical resources as mentioned in the link that you shared above. applying that standard would stop several models which considered as the most selling models in GCC countries and stop several engines from sales in brand new cars as emissions over limit which would revise the selling prices and put it out of competition. For example Honda Cvic since 2007 is selling 1.8 L which you cant find it in Europe due to emission Vs category! while the same engine is sold in Honda CRV in Europe, other brands & models like Hyundai & Kia is selling other engines and or developed virgins that fits EURO standard. while European brands which complies with EURO standard are offering high prices except some models produced in Korea & India and still unable to compete with Asian brands producing in the same countries.
