Hazy lens

Hi guys, the headlights on my honda accord have become a little hazy. What i mean is that the lens has become a little yellow. How can i clear this out? its irritating.

Umm, you mean replace the lens right? Isn't that the only solution you have for such a problem.

Not exactly my friend, the UV light from the sun can cause this haziness/yellowish color to the lens. When I take it in for servicing they usually apply something on request and clear it out, its not perfect but then its an improvement and i have never felt the need to replace them. How about you ask for it next time you take it for servicing.

polishing the lens helps to increase the visibility on an accord's headlights since they are sealed units on majority of the model years. you need to polish them with a lens polish potion and a buffer to clear out the lens.

i can try polishing the lens out .. or yea i can ask the guys at the shop to do it for me. whats a buffer?

Its actually an orbital buffer, mechanical tool not available with everyone which is why majority of the people get it done by the pros.

hi guys I cant believe this... you can actually polish them? I remember about four months ago i had the same problem and replacement of the lens is the only solution. Soo i took it to the dealership and asked for a replacement, which they did and now i find out that they can be polished otherwise. Oh well, they were pretty worn out and old!
