bigboss
Hey everyone. Im in the market for a c6 a6. I plan on keeping it for a year only. What are the major things I must look out for and how much will it cost for a year of maintenance. Ive heard there are carbon build up issues with the 3.2 fsi engine. How bad is this problem? Thats for your input in advance.

Saleem
Hi Bigboss I have 2 things to tell you: - Don't go for any 4 cylinder it's DSG 7 speed with mechatronics headache - Carbon issues can be solved in 6 cylinder as long as you sure about (air mass sensor, spark plugs, CO sensor, fuel type 95/98 octane, synthetic oil grade 10W40 & 5W30, timing belt and timing advance actuators) and all would show on simple fault code reading after a short test drive and engine shall be warm. Good luck it's a nice choice just from time to time (once monthly) unleash it and let the engine revs and touch the high limits you may notice some smoke on the beginning but later no and you'll enjoy a nice smooth and economy ride.
