when the AC is on i can feel hesitation in the engine

when i switch on my Mazda 2 Air conditioning there is hesitation in the engine that i feel as if my car is breathing for air or something.

Why is this happening how can i stop this

Ac problems is nothing to worry about it happens that the AC has to be maintained well due to weather in the Middle East checking the Filter will be a good start.
