What was your worst car workshop (garage) experience?

Please share what was your worst car workshop (garage) experience ever happened? And how you dealt with it?

Car went for normal service, agreed for 700 aed and came with the bill of 6300. Mechanic found everything faulty in my car from brake pads, Air Flow Meter, AC evaporator, AC filter, spark plugs, radiator, amost everything.......

I am till date not sure whether car was really that bad or that mechanic or workshop was that bad (or talented in making money).
