what is the aprox life of a car battery

i am very curious to know that how long dose the car battery last as for how many years. my battery is going steady for the past 5 years and its still going strong. so is this normal thats all i would like to know..

hey, the life of the battery usually lasts 3 to 5 years but in summers it may go down a year or so.

If the battery is till going strong then its a good quality battery then dont worry and keep using it.

Wow.. Actually mine was every 1 1/2 years. I am using AC Delco.

AC Delco, Hankook etc. are only 1 1/2 years. Try Amaron. My original in 2006 Pajero was Amaron and changed it in 2011 with an AC Delco. Delco was changed after 15 months. Now replaced it again with an Amaron.
