Differential on 2000 patrol

Hi All,

I'm a new bee for the forum, I'd like to know if the patol 2000 has a diff. lock?

Also what type of differential comes(LSD, Lockable diff.... etc.) in 2000 model.

It was completely optional to have diff lock or not in 2000 Patrol GU models. So all GU model having mix cases.

LSD rear wheels rotate in opp direction if set free on scissor lift, if you wondering how to find out if its LSD or not?

2000 GU had Open diff in front (Open diff at the front means it's a standard differential like a road car). The rear lsd works well though and will tend to keep both wheels moving when traction is low. Center diff can always be locked in a 4wd.

Standard is open front and rear lsd setup.

Patrols don't have center diffs. they are Part Time 4WD

Bulbous: Does new one's 2010 model also dont have center diff?

Its the key to self recovery in sticky spots.
