Why on reverse i hear a cluck noise ?

every time i reverse my Alitima not moving but changing the gear to R i hear a cluck noise form the gear or i am not too sure.

what is this noise and what is causing this ?

its definitely a gear problem the reverse gear should be checked. go to a good nissan workshop who dose gear work as this is a very intense job and needs an experienced hand on this.

May be a fluid replacement with some additives might solve it if its a gear issue. At times clunking noise can be made by engine or transmission mounts too.
